Combining 2 hard drives into 1...

Here's my problem and I'm not sure if this is an easy answer or not. I have 2 80gb hard drives that I will be storing large amounts of data on. I've read all about raid 0, I like the idea but to do this with my mobo I would also need to have a serial hard drives in which I do not. I will be putting these in a asus k8v se deluxe actually. I've heard there is virtually no speed diff by using raid and there is a risk of losing data if not done right. My question is...is there a program that would combine the 2 hard drives space so they show up as just one drive in windows, sorta like what raid 0 does. I run an ftp and it would be great to have all my space show up as one drive so I can host 160gb instead of 80gb at a time....thanks
 
Get a card that supports JBOD... Also, I know there used to be software called "Big Disk" that did this, but I have not seen that around for many years now.
 
It's not that there's a risk of losing data "if done right" it's that raid 0 increases your chances for a catastrophic data lose by X/(mean time between failure) where X is the number of drives you have. Example, on any givin day If there's a 1 in 50000 chance your drive could die(not a trued figure just an example figure) with two drives it would be 1 in 25000 and with 3 it would be 3 in 50000. It's not an astronomical odd against you, why risk it though. If you do lose a single drive in raid 0 you will lose it all. I'd recommend individual storage drives of just a JBOD.
