enter that in the console via the ~ key and it will get rid of the stuttering. it is not a cheat btw no worries.

Did this last night. I enjoy using the P90 with a red dot and my golden deagle as my weapons. For perks I equip bandolier, stopping power, and martyrdom. I don't get why people bitch and stuff when my clan plays together on one side. We're a group of friends that just wants to play together and then some random pub fools just start ragging on us. This is kinda like how the CS community was/kinda is. I kinda like this game more than CS and I've been playing CS for way too long.

And reswob: it's because if you're all on one side, and you're using VoIP against people that came on to have a casual bit of fun, there is no fun since it's often a massive case of rape on the clan's side.

Guess what? They're not.

No one likes getting their asses handed to them by a clan who's stacking the server. Fun for you? Yes Them? Not so much. Therefore they complain.

I've got nothing against Clans. I've been a member of a Clan for years( since Tribes 2). I've played on competitive ladders.

If it's your sever then you have every right to do what your want. Otherwise I'd suggest splitting up. That way everyone has a good time. You may even make some new friends or find a good recruit or two.

Besides I enjoy taking smack to my clanmates much more that to some random pubbie.
 
We don't even have enough people playing COD4 to stack one side and we rarely go Marines or SAS because everyone definitely stacks those sides.

But on Xbox, there's prestige, you can trade in your points for it, get a special logo. It's all meaningless but I enjoy having goals to aim for in my games. Especially multiplayer.

What my clan does is just all hit Auto. That way no one is team stacking and any pugs that join our server is not raped. But we do all join 1 side if we join another clans server lol, nothing beats an random clan vs clan match :D
 
most good servers have auto ballance anyway.. I get auto switched to the losing team a lot and get a nice little xp bonus in the process.

As if it weren't epic enough, a god damn nuke goes off??? Are you kidding me? And then you relive your last few breaths in the nuclear wasteland!

One of the most epic moments I've ever seen in a video game, ranks right up there with the end of Episode 2. Damn...
 
I got stuck playing with a bunch of clan guys on Live last night. First, there were issues with Live, so it was dropping people left and right, which was a pain. Then, when I did get into a game, it was with these fuckers. Not to mention, the server was playing nothing but domination, overandoverandover, ad infinitum

It wasn't enough that they were really good at the game, they wouldn't shut up in chat between matches, and they were singing and talking in high pitched voices... and every game was like that last night, when you could find one.

It made me wish for A) Halo 3's mute features, and B) That I was playing Halo 3 instead.

It was awwwwwffffffffful last night.

Oh you can mute them on the 360 too, it's just not as easy on CoD4 as in Halo 3, where it's accessible right in the lobby, as a game defining feature.

And it's not better on the PC (BF2, CS anyone? :p) it's just that not everybody uses a headset on their PC. The ones who want to be annoying still can be, and it's not like you can mute their global chat/keyboard spam. Generally, I like that everybody has a headset on Live, especially for team driven games.

It's really only on the intermissions between games that you can hear them, I just wanted to bitch a little ;)

Last nights player base was dumbfuck, poured from concentrate.
 
With the PC version, I've found it rare to find anyone talking with the in-game voice chat.
 
Oh man I beat sp campaign last night... so awesome! And I started mp which is ridiculously good. I can't wait to get home and fire it up. I made it to some Sergeant in under two hours while playing a bunch of Headquarters games. So much fun! Great maps, awesome unlocks, good weapons selection, etc.

Sometimes, BF2 can be one sided, but for the most part there are not enough clan members on one team, to make a major difference, 1 or 2 squads tops. Thats not even half the team.

Besides, a good clan in a squad is a nice competition for me a my bro in a squad of 2.
 
my clan does not sttack b/c it is boring unless it is a big server when it might help to have a strong core to keep from getting raped.

I am left handed, I use my mouse buttons for strafing left and right and the number keypad on the right for my foward back. Subsequently its easy for me. number 8 foward, 5 backward and 1 for sprint, 7 to jump since the mouse 3 ( what I usualy jump with) is reserved for weapons configuration .) Number 4 is fire and 6 is alternate or zoom. I can play right handed as well and do so when using vehicles but when I am on foot, left handed rules (yes i have two mice one on each side of my keyboard)
 
MP is a lot of fun, especially on smaller servers. I'm typically a mediocre player, but i had a great round of team deathmatch today. this is the highest i've scored so far. i'm usually no where near this score.

I really like the game play. Just finished and enjoyed the missions.

Is the last one on the plane an extra mission? Or part of the game?
 
so i just playing in cod4pug and the server made me install stuff and now i have to redo my set up guns. and the games says MOD warfare. any way to make it go back to normal?

There's a "relaunch without mods" button.

Or you can simply exit the game and relaunch it.
 
COD4 SP seems a fun game so far. It's a pretty tough challenge (I've died loads) Graphically it looks very nice (especially character models) The sound is also excellent throughout, the various guns make a really satisfying racket.

It runs like the clappers on my systems with everything maxed - which feels great after the sluggishness of Crysis.

I wouldn't say it's the best game ever though as some suggest.

There is a bit of a learning curve for me in this game. In UT style games I'm an excellent player, and I'm usually above average in FPS games in general. With this game I'm typically in the lower echelon in terms of scores. I can make it into the middle if I'm just on during a particular round and I rack up the kills.
 
Had to post this; what happens when people are a little too thick to figure out either when you've killed enough for an airstrike, and then how not to move in predictable areas. I think I got five of those bad boys in a row, plus some helicopters, all served with a little dollop of shooting people in the head on top.
