COD4 Demo Tomorrow

edit: dang, it went to 50KB after a few minutes :(
 
Mine started at 1mb/s then went down to 100k/s pretty rapidly. However its stable there now and I have already downloaded 130mb. Fingers crossed :D
 
Well if this is any kind of a hint of Infinity ward's logic, I am not buying this game.

Some people are really bored they can't find anything better to do than go around and trash talk other games?
If you were so disappointed with the previous CODs, why bother getting this one?
I played the mp beta on 360 and enjoyed it alot. I look forward to playing this demo on the PC as well. Honestly, I'll probably own this game for the PC and 360 both when it comes out next month.
 
why dont these companies just stop trying to do exclusives and set up a torrent with 100 fast seeders?!! for fucks sake.
 
I don't understand why they don't do torrent distrobution too. You can setup private trackers for your exclusive members content and you save costs on bandwidth requirements.
 
Better yet, why not just launch the demo on Fileplanet like everybody else. Who launches a demo on yahoo anyway.
 
Who is saying anything about being BORING ? Reread my friend, it's the same old crap from this game company ;) A Day Late and a Dollar Short on the way they do Business........ PERIOD.

I liked the game or I would not have ran a server and played it, what I don't like is the way they do things and they do not really care about support after they have our cash....;)
 
I can't believe I registered on Yahoo and the damn thing doesn't even work. Yahoo definately dropped the ball on this one.

I've heard that this is a "timed" exclusive release and that it will be available elswhere later.

It will be the real deal, but uit's pretty sad we're resorting to a piracy site for a fuckin demo. You would think they would try to keep us away from them.

That's becuase people are, generally anyway, total assholes. The thing I hate most about bittorrent is seeing my upload go all the way to it's max of 80 k/b a sec while my download speed launguishes in the 20 range.

Pricks.
 
Your saturating your upload. Mine is uploading around 80 percent of what i can do. like 53KB up and i am getting right now around 100-220KB down :cool:
 
Speeds are really good right now, I'm getting 290kb/s and ETA 1 hour 12 mins, while uploading at 50kb/s.

yeah thats what i'm getting now too.... 200k/s plus i have a torrent comeing in also.... but thats running SLOW but stable SO.... here in with in the next cupple hours i SHOULD have it
 
I bet yahoo learned their lesson about releasing a highly anticipated game on a crappy server. lol

They should have just had bitorrent registration if they wanted it exclusive. Would have been out much faster.
 
this is true.... but theres still alot of people out there that dont even know what a torrent is that still like to play

but yes i agree.... they should of had 100 power seeders and then a http download site with the enuff bandwidth to take everyone on

Yahoo should have offered less for the exclusivity and spent what they saved on Not Being Thick. Exclusivity = demand. If your servers aren't up to it, you're doing yourself no favours. Windowlickers.

Thanks. If you feel like being even kinder, delete the .nl one for me, so that doesn't get clogged to buggery whilst i'm downloading from it.
 
I've got around 80kB/s, about 40% done, ETA a little over 3 hours.

This torrent ain't bad.
