Slowly tweaking each and every setting, mem and core speed, volts, cpu and memory timings. Eekin out that last bit is where the drama and fun come in...

Right now these are my settings:
GPU 765 / 1.575volts
MEM 980 / 2.176volts
CPU opty 165 2880/ 320x9 1.59volts
Memory 240mhz 3,3,3,8. My 2gig kit wont go much higher than that.

Unfortunately, have to go back to work monday so perhaps not until this coming weekend. But it is getting VERY hard to get that last little something...
 
One more thing Rick, disable the Ati services, they fudge things up. Ust Atitool and atiOverclocker to change settings...

btw are His cards specially selected due to their oc ability or hust a better cooler? + are you water cooling these babies?

Mine is an oem BBA card from newegg, not even retail...

nah it's just luck of the draw as to what kind of card you get.. mines' an awesome clocker on air 756-776mhz on core and 900-918mhz on mem! on water can you imagine what it would do!

it can happen!! i was so close to breaking 9k (so wimpy compared to urs :( )...then i finally realized my x2 was bottlenecking me :p

You do realize Plywood99 is getting almost 12k with one card, right? 14k in crossfire is unimpressive by comparison. :eek:

his cards are being starved in 3dmark....but they'll kick the hell out of 1 card when it matters (gaming).

seems as if ati has managed to hold the single card crown for 3dmark05 for 3 gens now ;) :p

Wow, thats got to have artifacts. Still very impressive to get through 3dmarks at those speeds. 12k is so close you can taste it?

The farther you go, the harder the 3DMarks come :( I'm sure if Eva could go straight to 15,000, he would.
 
has oc'ing the card so much made yor games run a lot quicker?...and if so by how many fps? on avg in fear?

I play my games at 750/950. It is quite an improvement over stock gaming. On average game frames have improved 23.5%. That is a huge improvement!!! :D

I haven't seen such OCs on X1800XT's before.
I didn't think a single card could even hit speeds like that.

My stupid 3500+ 512 L2 is holding my back.
Opti's are AWESOME!

Can anyone recomend a Windows based OC app for the CPU and memory, so I don't have to keep going into the Bios.
 
:( no follow up by eva .... hope he didnt fry his x1800xt trying to get those 17 points.

My card comes stock overclocked from the factory, and I dont think asus is producing them anymore because the egg hasnt had any new ones in for a while.

But anytime I up the clocks it will run stable but bf2 will artifact like a mofo. And being the cards are so rare I dont even think its worth the numbers for me but awesome oc's man.

side note.
I hit 620 / 605 with my X850XT-PE on AIR.
temp maxed out at 78c under load @ 100% fan
very low arti's but if I raised the mem even up to 607 the arti's were real bad.

Clockgen and A64Tweaker are 2 good ones. Only work if you have an AMD CPU and an nForce motherboard though.
