An SSD for an NVR is probably a bad idea given the continuous writes wearing out the flash, especially on a "cheap" SSD. You'd probably be better off with a spinny disk. My $0.02, and a bump.
It’s not continuous recording. It’s event based only, and the units have known issues with mechanical hard drives and heat build up. They recommend a ssd also for the performance of clip scrubbing and mobile monitoring. A normal nvr I would agree but in this case a decent ssd should be fine.

Write endurance limits for SSDs are way overblown imo. There's been many documented examples of SSDs far exceeding their rated endurance, going back 11 years to this.
