To be honest I don't know if said items exist. The only "modding supply" that ever comes chrome is just standard fan grills.

Good luck with your search.

anyone got that guys home address I want to play Thief in real life :) joke but dam thats one sweet system.

I know you can find chrome fans but I'm too lazy to search them for you.

You can easily find (relatively easy anyway) chrome sleeve tubing for wiring jobs inside the case and such, I remember buying some online once. Probably available at auto-detailers as well, chrome grills are super common (whether it's the generic type or the laser-cut sort), not sure what else you're looking for. Chrome thumbscrews are common as well...

You can also buy "chrome" tape in art supplies stores. It's actually mylar, and it's very expensive compared to regular tape. At least at the single art supply store here. I got a roll of 26'x½" for 16$CAD

I was in CompUSA not long ago and noticed a chrome fan or two, also they have a CompUSA brand PSU in chrome.

if you notice in the bi-tech links up there, he's using some chromed tubing that's similar to what you'd find for water piping...

Might want to check what they have in similar looks at your home depot (or other similar places), might be nice to sleeve your PSU...

That's as many ideas I can come with short of getting your case custom chromed at some shop.

I bought these chrome wire loom at pep boys.

You can get some there!

I have a couple of Vnatec Drive coolers and a couple of Vantec EZ-Swaps I am going to get chromed at a local shop. I wish I could do it myself but haven't a clue how. :p

How did you seal off the ends? Heat shrink ?

Black elcetric tape. If you wrap it around TIGHT then it looks as good as heat shrink i think.

As other posters have said, there is Chrome Split loom (the stuff in the above pics... you can probably get it at G.I. Joes. There's also the better (IMO) sleeving style stuff... it's like flexo or something. It expands and contracts like a chinese finger trap. They'll have that stuff at joe's too. I'm not sure how far joe's chains stretch though, they're all over the NW. Auto stores will have this stuff, too. There are those evercool case fans as mentioned above that are plastic painted chrome w/ aluminum housings, there is also the 'aluminum'/chrome tape as mentioned above. Probably also available at any arts/crafts stores as well as auto stores. If you're looking to chrome your case, and are willing to spend some time you can try this:

Finished pics are here if you just want to see what i'm talking about:

the aluminum/chrome style tape as mentioned above is great for 'stealthing' cdROMs for a chrome project. I think you can probably buy the stuff at Home Depot if you are really strapped for places to look. If you have a tap Plastics near you they have mylar film and other mirrored surfaces available.
