So I just wanted to see the price of a item of say a keyboard I hit Buy it Now to see the price but I got a automated email saying checkout incomplete I didn't screw up and purchase this? I think I did this before just to check a price not really knowing how ebay works. The price was hidden so I hit buy it now but I just wanted to see the price.
 
Looks like it's just a automated email didn't see anything i my purchase history or anything.
 
Best to just rip off the bandaid and login to check. Checkout incomplete could mean it's just in your cart and they are reminding you that you didn't buy it. Or you could have bought it but not paid. If it's the latter you can normally request to cancel the transaction if you get to it quick enough.

It seems like ebay changes everytime I use it so my info could be a bit dated lol.
 
Next time, don't hit "Buy it Now" hit "Add to Cart" and it shouldn't do that IIRC.
 
Nope you didn't buy it....until you confirm the order it's not bought.
 
There's another button after checking out that says "Commit to Buy" on buy it now items. Unless you hit that you're fine, it's just an automated system when you have stuff in your cart.
