Hey there, I'm building a new computer for about 500-600$CDN (Vancouver)
It will be used for gaming/school, I have a 22' monitor, kbd, mouse, hd and require no CD rom. Also overclocking is nice but not necessary. I have Win7.

Basically I've been thinking of the below for the build:

GFX:
XFX HD-577A-ZNEC Radeon HD 5770 XTreme Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Retail

OR

MSI N260GTX Twin Frozr OC GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Retail

(I can't decide whether it is better to go with the XFX because it supports DX11)

CPU:
I've been toying with going Intel and just getting a 2.5 dual core but most likely the AMD Athlon II 250 Dualcore Regor 2.5

Mobo:

ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131609

Memory:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - Retail

So, I can't even decide to go AMD or Intel or Nvidia or ATI, I've got a PSU in mind so don't worry about that one. Please toss me some opinions or links to some information, ah thanks!

No. What's the exact PSU model that you plan on using with this PC? Also:
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?

I didn't answer the other questions because they aren't important to me.
I will be building this as soon as I figure this stuff out.
Motherboard just has to work with the ram, proc and gfx card, other that that I don't care.
At the top of my post I mentioned I have win7.

Ok, now you know to answer those questions (well besides the OS one. That was my bad) so that it will be helpful to US to help YOU better.

GPU wise, go with the XFX card as it has four main advantages over the MSI card:
1) Lifetime warranty
2) Better customer support from XFX
3) DX11
4) Not an overpriced video card.

Those parts look fine. I'd go for the HD5770 over the GTX260, too.
