Cheapest universal GPU block?

I want to get my 7850 under water, but I really don't want to spend a lot. I have an old EK 3870 full cover block that I had hoped to make work by using a copper shim and cutting off a little from the sides, but because of capacitors in the way the shim would have to be really thick. I suppose I could try to bend the capacitors.... but I would rather not kill my gpu.

So my only option is really just a universal gpu block. I've been trying to find a used one but they aren't nearly as common as cpu blocks.
Any thoughts about a cheap option?

I know I probably won't see huge improvement on my 7850 since it stays quiet and cool under load with its stock cooler anyway, but I've already have a loop set up that is more than capable of taking a GPU.

If I wanted to spend $60 + shipping for a gpu block, that would be the one I would get. I really just don't feel like spending it. It probably seems strange since I've already spent a couple hundred on my loop, but here I'm not sure if I would even see improvement in temperatures which makes it hard to fork out money for a block.

Sigh... If I get the raystorm I will also end up spending another $20 on fittings so it will look good.

What I'm really looking for is a link to an old gpu block that is ugly but good enough and cheap.

Well. of you are feeling adventurous pretty much any CPU block shall work, just need some experimentation to make it fit exactly. Also you might be able to pick up some Danger Den blocks from some place now they are out of business. Something like the Maze series.

Well I gave up and got the raystorm. God damn it. I did manage to avoid spending an extra $40 on fittings. I kept telling myself "barbs and some curved tubing is ok, you don't have to have 90 degree compression fittings." Also, Amazon should carry more water cooling parts. Oh to have prime shipping on this kind of stuff.

Figures, after I give in and order the raystorm I discover this: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...ter-block-water-cooling/907279_524714020.html.

$15 for a universal gpu block, hell yeah. lol. Looks like crap and I would never order it, but it is cheaper than I thought I would ever find. There is guy on overclock.net who is building his entire loop out of parts from that site. Some of them don't look bad, but it will be interesting to see how things turn out. Most people are betting that he is going to have leaks and parts break.
