I'm looking at getting a new 24" monitor, and pretty much the only restriction I have for it is that I don't want a TN panel. What is the cheapest 24" non-TN panel I can pick up nowadays?
I've got a Westinghouse L2410NM but, and I'm not sure on this, I think they are discontinued. But if you can, you can pick one up for about $300ish. I'm extremely happy with mine.
The MB24W may be available in the U.S., but due to AUO discontinuing this A-MVA panel, it is getting scarce.
Another option is the FP241W or FP241VW. They generally are not too pricey.
Otherwise the Westinghouse L2410NM is a very good deal if you can find it. Not sure if it's discontinued or if Best Buy has just stopped carrying it. It has about the same amount of lag as the Soyo MVA models.
in US and Canada you have the same model as the iolair that im waiting to receive here in europe...
you have the viewsonic optiquest q241wb and the starlogic 24" mb24w they are the cheapest and they have MVA specially the starlogic which is only MVA, the viewsonic has many TN mixed
Like someone already mentioned, AU Optronics discontinued the MVA panel. As I understand it, Soyo has already started using TN panels in their 24" monitor (I don't think they even changed the model number) because I heard people were buying them thinking they were still the MVAs. BenQ and LG both discontinued their models a few months ago so Westinghouse seems to be the only one left in the show, at least for the moment. If you can find one, you'll be lucky. New Egg had been selling some "open box" but I just noticed that they're no longer on the website, so they may be sold out. Another possibility is the HP LP2465, which uses the S-PVA Samsung panel. the Egg has them with a rebate for $539.99 plus shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176059
A few months ago I realized all the VA screens were disappearing so I scrambled and managed to get a new LG on Ebay. I know your pain!
