Ok so I'm using the rig in my signature. I just replaced the stock Intel cooler with a Thermalright True Spirit 120. After I got the install completed I booted up and about 2 seconds after I got into Windows I got a blue screen and the system restarted. My initial reaction was "oh fuck, did I do a poor job with the heatsink install and fry my cpu?!?!"

But upon reboot I went into the BIOS and everything looks fine. CPU temp is at 33*C and the CPU fan is spinning at a little under 900 RPM. All other temps look normal as do all the voltages (everything is at stock, nothing is overclocked).

However, I'm able to boot into safe mode w/ networking just fine without any crashes. And when I got into Windows through safe mode I was greeted with this error report:

I can't tell what the blue screen says because it reboots so quickly. Is there anyway I can capture the blue screen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right-click my computer, choose properties, then advanced system settings. Next click settings under the startup and recovery tab. You'll get a window pops up and you can deselect "automatically restart" in the system failure segment so your BSOD will remain onscreen until you manually power off by holding the power button of your pc for four seconds. This will allow you to read/copy/photo the info.

Ok here is a picture of the blue screen:

That's what I was ready to do last night after doing some research. But during one of the blue screens I noticed it saying something about DB3G.sys. I was like what is that? And then it hit me. I'm using a Razer Diamondback 3G mouse. So I unplugged it, rebooted into Windows normally and voila, no blue screen. I plugged the mouse back into a different USB port and it's been smooth sailing since.

Any idea why my mouse was causing the system to blue screen?

And thanks for the help, Thomo. Much appreciated.
