• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Change Username?

I've been a member for a while (like 5+ years?). About 4 years ago I moved over to using a handle that represents my actual name (WALoeIII for W. Andrew Loe III) and I use that as my login nearly everywhere else. Would it be possible to have my username changed? I could keep my old nick in my Signature if it would help. I don't buy/sell very much (even my ebay account is under WALoeIII) and I don't see where else losing my 'reputation' would matter.

Possible?

Apparently I've been a member for 6.6 years. Wow.

The only way to do this is to deactivate your current account and then start over as a n00bie. Considering you've been a member for 6.6 years I'd just stick with your current moniker.

(7) How do I change my username?
Usernames are not changeable unless it is to the advantage of the Administration ie: politically incorrect/trollbait/disgusting/improper usernames that somehow slipped through the filter. If you want a different name, you must have an admin close your present account and then you may re-register with the new name.

So theoretically he can claim that "snoozy" is a racial remark? ;)

Username's are simple to change with Vbull, and has extremely minimal impact on anything at all.

The admin just choose not to take the time to do it, because then everyone would want it done.

The answer has always been "no".

We know from experience that at any given time, about 1/3 of the membership would like to change their usernames. The policy not to change them has been long standing because of that fact. We simply don't have the time to change usernames all day long in addition to everything else we do, so we make it happen with a penalty of losing all of your standing for a new username. This system works.

I don't do this often, but since I would rather not see "snoozy" if I don't have to, consider your wish granted.
