Cellphone upgrade dilemma...

Right now I have the Samsung Galaxy Epic Touch (sph-d710) and I've had it for almost two years now.

Right now I am at a dilemma on upgrading to something else. I use the camera on the phone alot with my blog site. So a good quality camera is a high necessity. The camera on my current phone works great for my needs. When I looked at newer phones on the market it doesn't look like I'd gain anything by upgrading to a newer phone. To me it seems that all the latest phones still use the same stuff that's in my Galaxy. Is that true?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Your phone is based on the Galaxy S II. No contest, it was the best all-around phone released in 2011, and since you're on Sprint, you will be getting the Android 4.1.2 upgrade soon.

You're right in that it seems like it's not worth upgrading. I have the international model and so far, nothing has blown me away like the SGS2 did 2 years ago. I'm curious to see how the rumored "X-Phone" turns out, as well as the SGS4 and the eventual Nexus that ships in the fall. Barring a surprise device, nothing outside of those three interests me.

If your phone does everything you need, there's no need to upgrade. Just hold onto it a bit longer and see what comes out. No point in upgrading to the SGS3 right now, as it's one generation newer and about to be replaced. The Note 2 is still a solid investment if you want a screen that size.

Yeah I think at this point I am gonna hang on to what I have unless something offers a better camera setup on the phone. I just don't keep up to date with every new phone and wasn't sure if I missed a phone to look up (which is why i posted this thread).

keep your current phone? There is no need to upgrade if your device is still functioning properly and everything app wise works.
