Celebrate: I beat a game at the arcade! SF4.

These days the few remaining arcades often have unlimited play (they charge by the hour) or machines that taken nickels instead of quarters or tokens. There's a place a few miles from my house that does the nickel thing, which is nice. Just like the 1990's, a good chunk of the machines have stuck buttons and the diagonals are impossible to consistently find on those slanted-ass Tekken cabinets.

Finished Pole Position, checkered flag and all, in the arcade back in 84. Found it at an "old timers" arcade in San Francisco a few years ago and set the high score with a single quarter. Muscle memory at its' best!

This makes no sense at all. Second era games high high scores as well! Street Fighter, MK, all of that stuff would flash the score chart with the three character tags when cycling through the waiting for players. Even the more modern games out now do this. It never went away.
Sigh... It declined in importance ya?
