CDW Outlet Finds

Yeah it's windows mixed VR. image is supposed to be good, IPD up to 68 I think. tracking is "decent" not a bad first headset to try things out
And a pretty good deal where it's sitting right now price-wise since even used ones seem to cost more. I think it's got one more drop in it too. If it breaks $200, it's an all-out steal.

True that. Only downside is there are 2 revision of the G2 Reverb. Newer one offering improvements and changes in the sensor placement along other factors. They seem to have the same model number too...Only way to tell is by looking inside at the accessories and the unit itself to tell....Unfortunate, cause I would definitely pick one up for 200 it I could...If it was a V2 that is.

I bet you can call CDW and get someone to get the HP part number off of the box--there should be two different HP part numbers for the 2x revisions as that's what they do on their motherboards when they do the same thing (keeping the model number the same). I'd just be patient and stay on hold while someone in the warehouse runs down there and checks the box. (y) Just think of it as getting paid to be on hold since a v2 at a sweet price would be a steal. :)

I've been contemplating a VR headset for awhile. Couldn't justify the $600-$1000 price tags for an occasional use device.

Looking a the item number this may be a V2. I ordered one. Even with tax and air shipping it's cheaper than the Meta Quest 2. And no Facebook foolishness.
Please let us know how it works out!

So, CDW did a great job sending the unit - without controllers. That little discrepancy was not listed anywhere on the site or purchase info. The headset was a return from a veterinary school in CO. I returned the kit, they apparently are unable to replace it, and I'm waiting on a refund.

Ouch...that blows...Haven'y actually purchased anything from CDW just yet, did they cover the shipping back at least?

Bummer...yeah that was a failure on their part for sure and since it's a single item sku, you'll be looking at a refund. But would have great if the deal went through, so don't be afraid to try for something else later. (y)

As usual, looking for something else and found a decent deal. (y)

I've gotten something similar to this when I needed a high speed usb charger (except mine was made by HP)--65w Asus usb-c power adapter for $30 that's usually more than this from legit sellers, and right now is around the same price on ebay from questionable sources. I expect this to drop at least another $10 like my HP did to $20 and maybe even get down to $10, which would be an outright steal for a quality high-speed usb-c charger that is universal voltage and will last years. They have 8 in stock including a few that are at $50 so you can watch the cheaper ones to find out what the bottom price is to nab these at:
https://www.cdw.com/search/Computer...ch-_-Search+All&maxrecords=48&SortBy=PriceAsc

Enjoy! (y) Remember to call in your order and confirm stock allocation on the exact cdw part number!

And it's gone!

It's always interesting what you can run into though when you search for a manufacturer. Like this HP dual xeon silver capable server that even open box on ebay is $2500+ and currently only $1334 in the outlet:
https://www.cdw.com/product/hpe-pro...xeon-silver-4208-2.1-ghz-16-g/7299990?pfm=srh

And the genuine HP kit to add the second cpu heatsink, fans, etc is also in the outlet for about $100 less than generic kits on ebay at $409:

How does M2 network adapter work? I plug it into a M2 slot do I need to add antenna or something else to it?

Look at the image, top left and right corners have a circle with a dot in the middle. These are coaxial antenna connectors. Typically this would be installed in a laptop that has correct antennae already installed with cables routed to the appropriate slot. You can also purchase panel mount antennae to diy it into a typically sff case.

Also, won't work in all m.2 slots. Needs the correct keyed slot.

You need a micro-coax to regular or an antenna with a micro-coax cable directly attached...

U.FL is one of the designators for the micro-coax connector.

Edit: found one... https://www.amazon.com/Female-Connector-Pigtail-Antenna-Extension/dp/B087C7DZK7

As an Amazon Associate, HardForum may earn from qualifying purchases.
Just don't get the ones for mini-pci, which are similar but larger:

Edit: hold up--that one was the same. You want a MHF4, not MHF2...not that you can find one on amazon nowadays.

Ordered 3, but then got some "global supply chain ...error" Email confirming order but if I try to look up the order on their website
"you are not authorized to view this information. Please contact your account manager or call (800) 800-4239 for access."

Did you order any of them?

I actually go two of them about 1-2 weeks ago. I tried to install it into my HP laptop and it worked on initial install. However upon reboot it has no connection and bluetooth is non existent. I had to uninstall and put the old Realtek card back in to get it to work. No luck getting the drivers to work. Was just seeing if it was just me or if theres a trick/drivers that specifically work better than others.

yup I ordered 3 with no eta for delivery. want to cancel but no cancelation option

buying from cdw has been a miserable experience. To top it off, they shipped ups. 3rd trip to the CVS store after getting a "its dropped off at the local CVS".
Insane...Never buy from CDW again..or choose ups

Different shipping services have vastly different levels of quality depending on where you live. Here UPS is the best and FedEx is terrible. If I can ever choose I always will choose UPS here. I know people in other cities where it is the exact opposite.
Buying from CDW is also not the same as buying from CDW Outlet. Even aside from that, the vast majority have no problems.

Bummer that you had a bad experience either way though. Thats never fun.

were you charged? i guess i need to contact them too, i haven't got any updates.
Yup, it was out of the blue. Check my order status and had no eta. Then all of a sudden credit card charged and order shipped.
They shipped UPS requiring signature. I did eventually get a hold of CS and got refunded, never made that 4th trip to CVS to pick it up...pouring here in cali.

I got a sweet deal on some lenovo usb-c power supplies that I'm using just as fast phone chargers--were only $15/ea shipped when I got all 3 in stock. I haven't looked at the outlet since then since I was just specifically looking for something for this application, but hope this inspires someone else to do the same. Awesome to just plug in a phone and now have it charged by the time I remember I put it on charge. :)

A long time since I posted some deals. Ran into these cool things while looking for something else:

Dell PN5122W Active Pen that's usually $40 for $20. Probably will drop at least one more time:
https://www.cdw.com/product/dell-cto-active-pen-pn5122w/7746715?enkwrd=PN5122W

Dell E2020H 20" 1600x900 monitor that's usually $40+ used and nearly $100 new for $21. I think this price is the bottom since there's two more in the pipeline that shows the price drops (last one being $30:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...fr=1&w=UA&key=e2020h&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Dell E2222H 22" 1080P monitor that's usually $100+ new for $23. There's 9 of these so you can see the price drops, and this will be the last imo, so watch the others drop over the next few weeks and pick them up for $23/ea:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...fr=1&w=UA&key=e2222H&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Dell E2423HN 24" 1080P monitor that's usually $130+ new for $53. There's 2 of these so you can see the price drops, and I think there might have been more at the $20-ish price levels like the previous ones, but maybe not since these are more expensive to begin with. Still a great deal at less than 1/2 price:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...ter-monitors/?lfr=1&w=UA&key=e2423hn&outlet=1

Possibly a Dell WD19DS dock with power supply, or just the 130W power supply for the dock for $50. If it's the dock it's a real steal since these docks are $200+ new, and if it's just the power supply, it's a good price for a genuine Dell power supply, but I'm betting this is the dock based on the 'regular price'. There's a second one too so whoever figures out the first one knows about the second. If it's two docks though, then at the current price you can literally get 2x docks for less than the price of one. It's still a gamble though:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...fr=1&w=AH&key=WD19DS&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

A bunch of genuine Juniper SFP and SFP+ for $16 and $24 respectively--far cheaper than the $100/$100+ they would normally cost, and about the same price as the 'compatibles' that people sell. Some 52-port managed switches too for $1170, which is a couple of hundred cheaper than the lowest I found new, but you can get these used for just a couple of hundred so kind of a niche deal:
https://www.cdw.com/search/?key=Juniper&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Targus USB-C monitor that's normally $100+ for $18, and they have 2 at that price and one at $27 that will drop to $18. Now these are supposedly proprietary and require the DM4240PUSZ docking monitor, but if you have that dock, these are a steal at this price:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...&w=UA&key=DM4240SUSZ&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Microsoft Surface Go type cover with trackpad and accelerometer that's normally $50 used and even more new for $18. Total of 7 in stock with 3 at the $18 price and the others showing the full sequence of drops from their current price to $18--$43 to $37 to $28 to $22 to $18:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...&w=AJ1&key=KCN-00023&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Acer 21.5" 1080P monitor that's usually $70+ for $20, and there's a total of 5 in the outlet, showing the full sequence of drops--$44 to $36 to $22 to $20:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...=UA&key=UM.WV6AA.H01&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

LG 24" 1080P monitor that's usually $100 for $21. Lots of other deals on LG displays too including the 86" 4k display that's usually $4000+ for $1829--but I bet shipping for that is going to be tricky and expensive. Still a killer deal if you're in IL close to CDW and can do will call:
https://www.cdw.com/search/?key=lg&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Microsoft Surface Pen M1776 that's usually $100 for $21:
https://www.cdw.com/product/microso...stylus-bluetooth-4.0-platinum/7714749?pfm=srh

Logitech ipad folio keyboard cases that are usually $100+ for various ipad models starting at $22. Check the logitech part numbers for specs and fit, and don't rely on what's in the CDW description as they can be wrong:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...J1&key=logitech+ipad&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Asus monitors starting at $25, and the normally $250+ ROG-RYUO-III-360-ARGB AIO cooler for just $125:
https://www.cdw.com/search/?key=asus&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc&maxrecords=48

Kensington Pro Fit Ergo wireless mouse and keyboard for $25 that's normally ~$50. This will definitely drop at least once more.
https://www.cdw.com/product/kensing...d-mouse-keyboard-and-mouse-se/7727154?pfm=srh

Kensington Dual 4k thunderbolt 4 docking station that 's normally $200+ for $144. This will definitely drop at least once more.
https://www.cdw.com/product/kensing...k-docking-station-with-90w-pd/7747556?pfm=srh

Lenovo 24" 1080P monitor that's normally $120+ for $33. There are two more in stock at higher prices that will eventually drop to $33 or lower.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...&w=UA&key=62AEKAT2US&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Lenovo 27" 1080P monitor that's normally $160+ for $83. There's one more in stock, and I think both of these will drop quite a bit more into the $40s at least:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...KAT4US&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc&maxrecords=48

Acer 24" 1080P monitor that's usually $100+ for $29. There's 6 of these in stock so you can see the whole drop sequence--$55 to $47 to $40 to $29. I also think it will drop one more time to hit the $20-22 price point.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...=UA&key=UM.QV7AA.E02&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Acer 34" 3440x1440 monitor that's usually $300+ for $132. There's a whopping 32 of these in the outlet and 7 of them at this price while others are still going to drop. But even at the price of the most expensive one at $164, it's still 1/2 off and a solid deal.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...AA.004&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc&maxrecords=48

70+ Viewsonic monitors <$58, the cheapest being $30:
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...wsonic&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc&maxrecords=72

Jabra Elite 4 Active wireless earphones with mic that's normally $50+ for $30/$32. Total of 3 in stock with one that will drop in price later.
https://www.cdw.com/search/phones-v...&key=100-99180000-02&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Epson Projector Screen for $34 that's normally $140+ anywhere:
https://www.cdw.com/product/epson-dual-ultra-portable-projector-screen-for-eb-g5200/7721408?pfm=srh

Synology DS620slim that's normally $450+ new for $350 currently. I'm not sure how far this will drop, but it's a solid $100 off even at this price and there's currently 3x in stock.
https://www.cdw.com/search/storage-...1&w=KD&key=DS620slim&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Samsung 24" 1080P monitor that's nearly $200 anywhere for $34. The best part is that there's 7 of these in stock so you can see the whole price drop sequence--$92 to $75 to $57 to $47 to $34.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...&w=UA&key=S24R650FDN&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Planar monitors starting at $40. They have a 30" 2560x1440 touchscreen usb-c model that's designed for kiosks that's super duper discounted at $198 as the cheapest I could find it for was $850+.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...fr=1&w=UA&key=planar&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Apple pencil 2nd Gen that's normally $130 for $28. And there's 17 in stock that shows the whole price drop sequence--$95 to $70 to $60 to $59 to $54 to $43 to $32 to $28.
https://www.cdw.com/search/computer...=1&w=AM2&key=MU8F2AM&outlet=1&SortBy=PriceAsc

Happy New Year! I hope some people can get some gifts that they couldn't otherwise. :) And if someone wants to get me a gift, I want one of those synology DS620slim. :)

Woah. Some nice prices on displays. I forgot they charge real shipping though. I "need" another display, but I'm going to try my luck at goodwill, cause an ancient display for $10 is really all I actually need... And I might get lucky and get composite in.

Yep that's what I thought too. :D I totally feel you on the 'need' though--I remember getting an older Mag Innovision display with speakers from Goodwill for $5 and was really sad when I couldn't take it with me and it went back to Goodwill after 2 years. Part of me hopes that it is continuing to live a good life bringing someone joy because it was built to last forever. I've got an older NEC display like that now that someone gave me--it's a tank!

The flip side is that these newer displays are good to enough to upgrade your primary and give your primary a new home as the 'need'. ;)

I just went through the links to see what was still left after I posted this. Seems like a lot of people bought stuff. :) I'm happy if that means you guys got some deals. :) If it's scalpers that bought stuff, then I'm not happy with that at all.

Picked up a few items, and I rarely rarely rarely ever sell anything. :) Thanks!

100% this Scalper SUCK!
I don't mind if someone does their own work and finds inventory for their business as I've done that before when I had an auto parts distribution warehouse, but when I've done the work and someone else profits from it and they don't give me anything for the work--that's theft of my time and is not ethical imo.
