with 4.9, 3dmark 2k3 will crash 1st test if i use my 9600xt at 535/330. now i just completed the entire 4 game tests with 4.1 at that speed with no artificat/crash.

can't wait to go higher :)

what ram do you have on that 9600xt? If it's Samsung 2.8ns (GC2A on the chips) then it's rated for 350Mhz and you're not getting the full speed out of them. Chances are, if they are 2.8ns chips and you can't get 350mhz out of them, the card isn't feeding enough voltage to them (2.8-2.9v for 350mhz on the Samsung chips).

The more memory bandwidth you can give that card, the better it will be for you. I just recently modded the bios on my card and upped the memory clock from 370mhz to 410 just by changing 2 memory timings. So now I can game at 655gpu/820ddr...every little bit helps :)

If you're up for a couple easy voltmods, then you can make that 9600xt go a lot farther.

Why are you using such old drivers?

Most peep's were not lucky enough to get that memory...
