Cathode Converter Melted Itself (pics)

Shoulda left it in there to catch on fire and ruin your computer. You could claim it on homeowners insurance and built yourself a new top of the line rig. :p (just make sure to back up your data first and have a fire extinguisher ready.. haha)

4 of my cathodes have also fallen victim to melting inverters.

Think I'll also move on to some nice LEDs.

Looks like the capacitor let go? Is that it's remains we're looking at there in the corner of the PCB?

Thank goodness it didn't catch fire, although it looks like it was getting ready to... :(
Many Inverters use cheap ass components, this is the result of using such components.

Yeah, those aluminum ones look very nice. We may have to look into carrying those on our website.

That looks identical to the inverter I just got in a logisys 2x12inch uv kit from Jabtech for like $4 or so, this explains why they were so cheap

yeah, i dont use cathodes due to the magnetic interference they create... they look cool... but overall, have a detrimental effect on the system. stick with LEDs

dude same shit happend to me like 6 months ago omg lol thats funny, did u get does cathodes for xoxide.com? cuz that where i got my invertor from it came with my cathodes.
