I'm looking to move my system to a new case that is MUCH quieter than the generic POS I currently have. So far, I'm torn between these:

Thermaltake USA New Soprano

or the Corsair Obsidian 550D

Which one do you guys suggest? The build going into it is a bit dated - i7-930, GTX560, 2 SSDs

Silverstone raven like in sig. Going on two years now and still no dust in the case and I only clean filters about every two months. Really quiet as well, as long as the fans are on low.

The FT02 and RV02 both have great reputations, but they are also pretty big and might be too pricy.

The Fractal Design Define R4 is very well liked, and usually cheaper than the 55D

Some cheaper quiet/cool cases hitting the market soon are the Corsair Carbide 330D and NZXT H230 (no reviews on these yet).

Considering the CPU you have, I'd recommend the Raven RV03 or FT02 cases. For budget options, I'd look at the Antec P280 or Fractal Design R4. With that said, the Corsair 550D is a bit more flexible in cooling than either of those budget options since you can remove the top and side fan covers to further improve cooling at the expense of greater noise.

SPCR hasn't reviewed the H230 or H630 yet. However they did review the H2 and found that while it was quiet, it had relatively high temperatures due to limited airflow. Not the case I would recommend for a Core i7 920.
