Friend of mine is looking to get a new card.
His 460 died.

He is running a dell system with an i7 and he mostly plays LoL and Diablo at 19x10.
Other than that just general purpose computing.
What would be a good card to replace it with?
One that would be less than about $150.00 if possible.

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Just bought an 800 watt Thermaltake Ironically his psu failed first.first
 
Pretty shitty PSU to be honest. Can barely provide half its rated power.

Against my gut, I'm gonna recommend that you go with the HD 6850 1GB for $140.
 
Ok, can you recommend a PSU then also?
Is there anything nVidia, since he is for some reason whining about getting an AMD.
Even though the one you recommended for my build is working quite nicely.
 
Just found out the machine is a Dell model Studio XPS 435 MT
I think I have convinced him to get the AMD. Why did you say against your gut?

If your friend really wants Nvidia, he's gonna have to go a little more over his budget at $157 for the GTX 650 TI:

Your friend would be paying more but at least he's going to get a bit extra performance over the HD 6850 for that extra cost. So worth it in a way.

If the PSU is a Thermaltake TR2, I generally recommend replacing it ASAP and I generally don't recommend GPUs for that PSU.

My friend was not able to get the items yet.
Would you still recommend the same parts.
He was going to buy the Nvidia card you recommended and the PSU you recommended.
Has anything changed as far as your recommendations since then?
 
Both the PSU and Nvidia GPU have gone down in price. They're both still decent choices.
