I'm thinking

OCZ Powerstream 520w
Conroe Supported Crossfire Mobo
Conroe E6600 w/ whatever compatible heatsink
2x 1GB OCZ DDR2 667 Dual Channel
X1900XT @ XTX speeds

Only thing is I want a 965 mb.

BUT it looks like if you want dual video cards you have to go nvidea or ati.

MAN THIS MARKET IS GETTING Fkd Up

no, you can get the 7950 which is SLI / dual videocards-on one slot and put it in most non-SLI motherboards, though it might require a BIOS update. I just wish Nvidia wouldn't lock down their drivers to SLI approved motherboards only. B/c I know SLI can work on my 975 motherboard. (it does with the older non-locked drivers)

I can't wait to get a Conroe. Though I'm a little pissed that I've got to upgrade my motherboard. I bought it with the expectation that it would be compatible with Conroe. I knew I had no guarantees, but initial reports were that 975 was a Conroe compatible chipset. Well it looks like 945/955 is too, the main thing is you just need to update the VRM on the motherboard.

Probably the route I'll be going too. I know absolutely nothing about DDR2 haha, so I think I'll be getting what seems to be the most popular RAM to be paired with conroe.

I'm holding off, but only until DX10 cards are released as I'll need a PCI-E video card.

I'm waiting until fall, due to A) No Cash and B) I'm afraid to buy a first generation motherboard. I'd like to wait for a few bios updates or a board revision before jumping in.
