Cant get any work

Smp I assume? Shutdown and restart the client, or just leave it going, Stanford is putting out more units to cope with the demand of more users going smp, but some shortages are still expected. I think it will peak at it's worst in a week or two ( chimp chal' ) and then it should level back out

Dr Kasson loaded 25 new projects to the SMP2 servers.

There should be no shortage of SMP2 work at the moment.

Let me know if you are still having issues. Post your F@H log file so I can see what is going on.
That way I can see which server your client is trying to connect to.

If it continues, i can contact Dr Kasson or Dr Pande and let them know about this situation.

I am having the same problem with my clients at work and on one of my home desktops. My server, laptops and girlfriend's desktop all pickup WUs just fine, and all my GPU clients have work, but my SMP 6.29 clients are having hard time picking up work. Its most likely due to the shortage but thought I would post and add my $0.02. Also here is the log off my work machine.

Not that it helps anyone, but I was able to get work from that server about 9.5 hours ago. Maybe something happened to it after I got my WU.

my 2 other machine's picked up work before Noon this one. couldnt get work at 12:30
 
Usually, deleting your quete.dat file and restarting the client helps.

The server "130.237.232.140" appears fine and have plenty of units available.
 
both my other machines picked up work. dat file didnt work either. thought im not going anywhere its easy to see why people get frustrated a quit. why does thing only search the one sever?

Hey!

I have another machine running the same setup, and it just pulled work from the same server.

The first machine is a Q6600, set to smp -4, advmethods. It's the one that's getting work just fine.

The one that is struggling is an AMD Thuban set to smp -6, also with advmethods.

Is the AMD CPU being discriminated against?
 
I got rid of the SMP 6 flag, and advmethods flag. Now the error is different.
