Anybody know where I can get a used/refurb/new 470GTX? I'm finally able to SLI, but yet can't find another 470? Cards not even that old!

Best place would be the FS/FT forums. 470 has been discontinued, replaced by the 560.

You can check out EVGA B-stock and see if they have some.

I hate it when I lose my video cards too, those damn bastards are always breaking free.

I will have a EVGA 470 GTX (I believe it is a superclocked version) up for sale in the next couple of days if you are interested. I will probably ask $250 shipped.

yeah good luck selling it at that price. a brand new gtx560 ti can be had for much cheaper that will be just as fast, much quieter, run way cooler, and use way less power.

the last gtx470 on newegg was selling for $179 and that was brand new too.

Yep, and how long ago was that? Looks like the last time the vanilla EVGA GTX 470 was listed at newegg it was $279.99. See here http://camelegg.com/product/N82E16814130576

Compared to most current prices on a GTX 470 $250 is a good price. Also, the OP was asking for a GTX 470 to SLI with. Not a GTX 560ti. I am not trying to be unfair and would be open to discussing a lower price.

there was a brand new galaxy gtx470 on newegg for $179 just a couple of weeks ago. even at that price it made way more sense to get a gtx560 ti though.

and I was talking about your price in general not just for the op so that is why I compared it to the gtx560 ti. only a fool would pay $250 for a used gtx470 at this point. sorry but I am just being honest and blunt here.

Yes, the 570 replaced the 470 in terms of hierarchy. The 560 replaced the 470 in terms of similar performance.

All those 470s either are ridiculously overpriced (Amazon is over $440  ) or from retailers with bad/no reputation, or both.

Edit: Also, just to add, I had a hard time selling two 470s at $200 each, took a few weeks. And that was nearly a year ago, before the 560s came out.

Yeah what's with that? You can do a search for some random PC component like a common video card or motherboard, and then some unrelated Amazon shop like SuperMegaTentOutdoorOutfitters will have it for $749.

There just aren't any gtx 470's left new. I'd check out ebay and fs/ft forums, you should be able to get one in the $175 range.

Well, thanks for all the info guys.

If anybody has a 470 to sell around the 150$ price range, i'll take it. I was hoping to get an msi frozr. But at this point I don't think it matters.

Currently using the PNY GTX 470 reference, but i'll take a non reference if someone is willing to sell it.
