Ok i have a friend whom i am helping build a new pc, using some left over parts, but most are new. the thing boots up and seems to run all it little self test, But! I cant seem to get a picture of anything on 3 different monitors i have. So i tried replacing the video card now the new card is a radeon 9600 256mb, so i changed it out for a little Gf FX 420 i had laying around(working card), still no boot screen, nothing. the board in his box is a chaintech "Summit", i know thw new card is a 8x card and the 420 is a 4x but i figured the board would just "kick" it self down to match the card, but like i said either way nothing appears on the monitors, and they all work. nothing is installed either on a brand new HDD (WD 80 Gb).....some thought or help

Disconnect everything but the CPU, heatsink/fan, vid card, RAM and keyboard. Also clear the CMOS. After that, try starting up again.

Yup yup, few times a customer would bring in a computer with that exact problem and the AGP slot is shot basically.

Always handy to have a Rage Pro card around.
