It can be done, but you'll need to do a few things:
1) Make your own mounting brackets
2) Get an adapter (40-pin IDE + power -> 44-pin)
3) Do something with the bezel so it looks decent, or just make your own case (this is, after all, the modding forum ).

and just use the circuit board. the plastic casing is all but useless to mount a drive in. it squeeses it and it wont eject. using just the board though, makes any slimdrive a decent USB2.0 interface device.
