Here's my situation...My old laptop died but I was able to salvage some parts:

Pentium M 1.7 (dothan)
80gb 7200rpm hdd
512mb ram (one stick)
LCD screen (this probably won't apply)
Intel 2200b/g wireless card

Basically what I'd need is a laptop compatible with my spare parts that has an easy way to install them...oh and is cheap.

Edit: Oh also a cd burner, not slot loading

Unfortunately, as dezertrat pointed out, you won't be able to find a cheap Pentium M barebones laptop that's not as expensive as a brand new C2D laptop. If your laptop had died about two years ago, there were many barebones options then. But now, those options are very rare and if you do find them, they'll about the same as a brand new C2D laptop.

So basically, you're SOL. Actually both of us are SOL since I too have a ton of spare laptop parts from two dead laptops.

EDIT: What laptop did you have anyway? Depending on the model, you can probably buy the bottom half of the laptop with mobo included for a cheap price over at ebay.
