I have a VisionTek Radeon HD 4850 512 MB card and a Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 1GB. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125258 )

but when I tried to do Crossfire, it does not work. Somehow my computer is not recognizing the new Gigabyte Radeon 4850. Is it because one is 512 MB and the other is 1 GB?

I looked at the ATI catalyst control panel but I don't see any option for Crossfire.

What did I do wrong?

I heard you can do a 4870 and a 4850 together, so I'd imagine a 512 and a 1 GB card would work. Only thing is the 1GB card will be knocked down to a 512mb card.

Then I wonder why it is not working as crossfire? I know that the both cards are working fine by itself.

Maybe your mobo doesn't support it?
Maybe the adapter is bad?
Maybe you have old drivers?

also which order do you have them in? which one is in the first slot? they should work together.. but generally you want the faster card in the first slot..
