Hi guys, I have a question about the fps drop when using fraps.
Basically, what is the main hardware reason it drops fps?
I'm not sure there's much I can do to help my situation, but maybe there is.
I record WoW raids at 2560x1600 resolution on the rig in my comment and I drop down to 25-30 fps when I have it on. Is there any particular component that it relies on the most? Or is that probably as good as I'm going to get at that res? Would a 2nd 5870 in CS help?
I tried recording to an SSD and the fps dropped the same, so I guess it's not a write issue. I guess that res is just asking for a lot in a 25m raid
Thanks guys
