Another though is if this guy is indeed in the national guard they'll be interested to know how dishonest and lacking in integrity this guy is. Or not. But it wouldn't hurt to let them know.;)

I have been on the hunt for a Lian Li PC777B for several weeks,and it looks as though I am 150% out of luck (wanted for the wife,she really really wants one) Anyway,after putting up a WTB thread about 3 weeks ago,he pm'd me minutes after it was up,to tell me he had one for sale (in the wanted color of black) for the low low price of 155 USD.

When I right away asked for a few pics,he said he did not have a camera.

I did a quick search on his profile and found a WTB/FS thread by him,actually many of them,anyway,in one of them he was asking for a cheap digi cam under 15 bucks,and someone with great heatware offered to sell him one,almost right away for I... think 12 bucks shipped,he said no. :rolleyes:

I didnt do the deal as he kept saying he didnt have pics of it... Now this.I am desperate to find the case,but something told me no,glad I was right and held off.

I hope everyone gets whats coming to them,and that Karma is an especial bitch in the near future for LF. :( :mad:
 
i really doubt there is any possibility he is just having a physical or is sick or whatever.


first off he has a history.

secondly, the fact that he justso "happened" to sell like 20 items in 2 days at generally great , but i woudlnt say too good to believe prices makes me think he obviously planned it.


i mean really how many people sell 20 items to 20 different people all at once. i mean sure its probably happened before (and i know i have pulledt his off before) but its rare.

and if he were in fact shipping all these items, he would probably be trying to get in contact with everyone or at least offering refunds. i mean we obviously cant contact him by PM or throughthe blazingpc.com email addresse, but he obviously has all of our email addresses from paypal but he isnt contacting us.


i have tot hink this guy just has some sort of syndrome where he likes to do this. maybe he just likes the attention. because its pretty obvious he is not going to get away witht his cleanly and could even go to jail. and he's done it before too...

Chris/LogetechFreak, I hope to god you are serious about this all being a misunderstanding, I'm no where near wealthy, I don't have a great PC, I've got a decent apartment, and I struggle monthly to make rent and pay my bills. But I've got one bright spot in my life, my son Paul, he's 4 years old and the light of my life. With Xmas coming up quick, my wife and I began tallying our meager savings to see what we have to spend in anticipation of the holiday season.

My boy wants a power wheels riding toy, and I just don't have the money to buy it, and you know what? that sucks for me and for him. Most of what I have is gifts, the Mac Mini you "purchased" from me, was my way to get the money to give my son the Christmas he deserves. To you we are faceless names on the internet, but I think it's important that you see the face of one of the people you ripped off. Come hell or high water, I'll get my son his toy, even if I have to sell my computer to do it.

When you sit back I want you to look at this picture and know that if you scammed me, you stole from him.

I also dont agree with no trade w/ n00bs rule .. everyone has to start out somewhere.. even for someone who has 500+ positive heat from another forum starts out as a n00b when they sign up.. but then again, heat doesnt mean everything either.. + LF's status here is pretty high (he has lots of posts).. and look wat happened here.. hes an outright scammer! so i dont think the n00b rules will prevent much here.. thats just my opinion

Exactly, LF had to start somewhere, so did all of the other scammers that did their business here. And someone with 500+ heat from another forum should take some time to get involved with the community here and build a repoire before jumping off to start selling things. Most people who scam are noobies, and trader's like LF are less common. He builds up a positive trading history then moves in for the kill. But no noobs would still slow them down a small bit because they'd have to take some time to build up a communications history before they could start building their trading history. That itself may even turn away some scammers can just go over to another forum and work less.

Devilotx, excellent post. I hope that everyone here gets their due restitution. You'll still be out the time and hassle, but the dollar amount and number of individuals involved is high enough to keep the authorities interested.

I know hard times, trust me, I went from having a $33hr for 2 years and having a mortgage on a really nice home, to having to quit my previous job, because of school, rely on my girlfriend and my parents to help out on mortgage and barely making it working side construction jobs with my brother in-law. It's hard bro, but in due time we'll get ours.

Its there; Its just finding it. People are not quite as they used to be but there are still a lot of great people out there.

I have a 4yr old as well and know what its like when they have their heart set on something they really want. The day you have to let them down it the really bad day. I have hurt for money in the past as well; in time good things happen.

Logitech freak just emailed me and said that he's locked out of everything, and that PayPal should be refunding everyone. He says that he went to his local PD and showed them receipts. Who knows, I just need my money back.

I know you shouldn't take his word for it, even if he is trying to make it correct right now. You have the phone number of his local PD, I would personally call them just to see if he has actually done this or if he's just giving you the run-around again.
 
Anything that comes my way would be appreciated, and should LF actually send me money, then I will be refunding back anything donated, the 420 he owes me will pay for the toy and the extra battery, I need no more then that for Paul.

He wrote me back earlier saying that he was sorry for the delay and he ws out of town on tuesday and wednesday. said he shipped mine on thursday(yesterday) but still nothin shows up for tracking. Hope he keeps his word. I told him that I filed a claim with paypal, so If I recieve the package which im thinking I wont; I will cancel claim.

Funny thing is that we made the deal on the 10th which was last saturday and he said he was rushing to the PO to get it shipped the same day. Today he told me he was going to ship tuesday but was out of town. time will tell. I would rather the item I bought, butif not just want my money back.
 
After 22 pages of people getting the run-around, why are people still waiting even though he's already "promised" to send out their package more than once? I think you're letting him get away with this....

Man this is weird, I just sold this guy 2 Xbox360 games.
It was only $24 but, he paid on the 11th and i shipped on the 12th.
I was trying to PM him because I know he recieved the goods and want him to give me some Heat.
Then I saw he was banned as a bad trader.
Oh well glad i didn't get ripped off too.

I just got off the phone with Detective Corporal James Beasley of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department (see contact info, below).

CHRIS CHARTIER IS IN JAIL!

This is not the end of this matter, and he won't stay there without immediate action by his victims. What happens next will depend on YOU. The story:

Corporal Beasley has taken charge of this case. As I noted, earlier, Sergeant Denney handles child abuse cases.

In an event that can only be chalked up to good luck for all of his victims, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department arrested up Chris Chartier on a warrant for matters unrelated to this situation, and, as a result of our contact with them, they questioned him about our complaints, and he admitted he was the person we complained about. However, he denied that he intended to defraud anyone.

Sherifff's officers went to his home and found piles of boxes with addressed to some/most/all of you who he owes. Corporal Beasley said this tends to support his claim that he did not intend to defraud anyone. If so, whether he has ALL of the items or just some of them may make a difference in the outcome of this case.

Chris Chartier claims that he got so many orders so quickly that he couldn't afford to ship everything. This is questionable since he has the money others sent him for the items they believed they were buying, but he may just have been stupid enough not to ask enough for the items to cover the cost of shipping so it is a point of law to be considered.

I pointed out to Corporal Beasley that Chris gave members of [H] USPS DC numbers that USPS reports are not in their system, and, in some cases, he gave the same tracking numbers to more than one person. I said I thought that the number of victims and the number of bogus DC and tracking numbers would tend to support the idea that he did intend to defraud others.

Getting back to our story... Corporal Beasley said Chris appears to be broke. He was awaiting a check that he intended to use to ship all of the items he owes to others. However, he was not able to raise the money for his own bail. That means he will be in the pokey at least through the weekend, and this is where we need everyone who has a case against him to get on their horses!.

I also reminded Corporal Beasley that Chris has a documented habit of lying, and his word should not be taken at face value, no matter how sad the story.

Corporal Beasley was very clear that they could prosecute Chris ONLY if they receive complaints from victim's local law enforcement agencies. It would be a good idea if they sent it to his attention. The address is in my earlier post, below.

GO TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, AND FILE YOUR COMPLAINT, NOW!

If your local police tell you your case is too small for them to pursue, make it clear that your case is a small pebble in a large landslide of Internet fraud, and make sure they immediately forward the info to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. As of the time I am writing this message, the victims' thread on [H] lists 48 victims owed a total of $7,226 and some hardware. The Pulaski County Sheriffs need as much ammo as they can gather to present to their prosecutor to hold him in these cases. If they can hold him, they will have time to build their cases against him. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, 11/19.

NO COMPLAINTS = NO PROSECUTIONS. Don't let him get away!

Corporal Beasley also said that, since I phoned him, Officer David Gaston of the Crocker PD had taken an interest in the case. He had contacted the Sheriffs Department and had given them the information we and some victims had provided. Furthermore, since Chris was now on the PD's radar, they were checking into other felonies Chris may have committed within the City's jurisdiction.

Finally, Corporal Beasley asked me NOT to post his email address. He said it won't mean anything without official complaints from victims' jurisdictions. Once they have the complaints, he will get contact those who filed for any further info.

A personal comment -

Corporal Beasley said Chris was crying in his cell as we spoke because he was afraid of what would happen to him while he was in. If Chris can work his way out of his mess by shipping the boxes they found at his home, I don't care if he spends a long time in jail as much as I care that his victims recover their money or the items they were promised. If he's crying in jail after just a few hours, I would hope he will remember this as a learning exercise and know better than to try it again. If he doesn't learn from this, he isn't smart enough to avoid a very rough landing in the very near future.

Our actions contacting the Sheriffs and the Crocker Police went a long way to setting up the conditions to allow Chris' victims to recover their losses, but we can't close the deal without your action. Help yourself and your fellow victims by immediately filing your complaints and making it clear they have to be forwarded, immediately.

Ive never filed a police report for anything before. What all info do I need to do that? I dont want to call/walk in and not know what to say and what info to give and have them think Im just some idiot complaining about your average internet scumbag.
 
Good thing that prick is in jail, teach him a lesson in how not to screw people over with his bullshit. I've never filed a police report either and I'm wondering how the process is also.
 
I've filed a couple of police reports over stolen property (bikes). Never had do it in person, always over the phone. Call, tell them you want to file a report, and you'll either get transfered to someone right then, or have your info taken and an officer will call you back to take the report.
You'll obviously need to know things like dates of transaction, amount, details about LF (addy, etc as shown in Anandtech thread). Even if you don't think you have everything, call anyway, and get the ball rolling, even if you need to call back at a later time with more information.

He's cryin in jail, lmao. He isn't cryin in jail because he feels sorry or is wondering what could happen to him...he's probably cryin because his big illegal Mexican cell mate probably just raped him. I know for a fact he sold me a e6550 and someone else the same chip. I just want my freaking chip man... I cant play videogames!!!

I will go to my PD tomorrow and fill out a complaint there and stuff too. I will also be calling him and seeing if he will get my cpu shipped or refund my money in exchange for me to not press charges. BUT IM GONNA DO IT ANYWAY MUAHAHAHAHHA

Hmm I got my refund, but if he has my stuff ready to ship and just didn't ship it, perhaps I can get my deal. I didn't take lightly to spending 3 weeks and no shipment.

Anyway, good news for those who are looking at getting their money back. Finally this lying scumbag is getting his comeuppance.
