I was one of his first few trades on Heat back in July. I traded him a motherboard that supposedly worked for its last owner (However, it never worked for me) for an Athlon XP system. Anyway, I get the thing in, and it smells of smoke. The case was missing a drive bay cover, some screws, and it was pretty heavily scuffed up and dented. It DID work, but I was going to give it to a friend as a secondary computer and I wasn't going to give someone a computer in that condition.
I gave him positive feedback because that motherboard was as-is and I'd have felt bad if he would have gotten something nonworking and I got a working PC, even though it was pretty rough looking. There are probably more than a few dissatisfied with him
......I have dealt with LF in the past and everything went perfect. I dunno if he really is a scammer. But I would have to say hes just really really in over his head.
...For all we know he didn't ship anything and just said he did to keep people out of his hair.
I have had people tell me they shipped one day, then have the package come a week or two later with postage dated much later than expected.....
just to add sorme info. He told me that the item/shipping was cheap because he has free internationl shipping at his JOB. So my question is what is his problem with his post office.....that doesn't add up.........
Yes claim was escalated. Can anyone tell me the procedure? Do I just sit here and wait for 30 days?
Also he said he can't even login to paypal (true or lie?) how can he "prove" his case?
bump for help, first time escalating claim to paypal to investigate
He'll have 15 days to respond. If he doesn't, then you win. As to whether there's any funds left for you, it's anyone's guess at this point
I purchased a E6550 from him that he said will be shipped tomorrow since the post was closed today. I dont think the post was closed today.... but whatever.. that could have been overlooked by us both.
If he does not have me tracking tomorrow I will post again. Did anyone else purchase this same chip from him?
Yes if thats the case, I will have to contact my bank? (used bank transfer)
I'm confused here.,..
Why did you leave him positive heat for a Q6600 if you bought an E6550?
And why did you post heat yesterday , about the same time you posted this thread, if you didn't even get the CPU yet?
Look at the email address on the Prentice heatware account. Notice anything similar to LogitechFreak's current/previous accounts?
You would do well to contact them now and see if they can even do anything.
2 issues you'll run into:
1. As far as the bank is concerned, paypal is the one making the withdraw, not the recipient of the funds. Since you're not disputing whether paypal got the $$$ or not, they may be unwilling to help you (I've even heard of this behavior from CC companies, but not as often)
2. Bank transfers as a rule don't have protection for purchase problems. They do have some protections against fraudulent transfers, like if someone steals your debit card, but these are very weak and require almost immediate reporting to your bank.
I reported a claim, but I haven't escalated yet. I'm giving him until Wednesday then I'll escalate it.

Paranoid much? There are 111 users here at [H] with 420 in their usernames. And plenty more with 420 in their e-mail addresses.
He has failed to meet the 10 AM time he himself set. If you have not escalated your claims, I suggest you do so at this time. Then, if he ships, you get your stuff and the dispute goes away for him. No one gets hurt by filing/escalating your claims. Do not wait any longer, do not give him more time. The longer you wait, the less likely you are to ever see your cash again, plain and simple.

Look at Prentice's date that he joined: Nov. 11thI don't think paranoia has anything to do with it...
besides, 420 fits him with his pot smoking habit.. ..![]()
for all of you never-were or never-will-be stoners...420=paranoia![]()

Too many coincidences. They could just be coincidences, but they still need to be investigated.
The scammer is jumping ID's, Email's, etc. all the time, and also using multiple accounts to give himself positive ratings.
This is no 19 year old living with his parents, that is a lie too. Just re-read his posts.
They sound like someone grasping for straws. He mentions using a "Maiden name"? WTF? Is this a woman or a man?
Mods, you need to investigate each and every account that has any connection with this guy, including everyone here that is or isn't complaining. A simple WHOIS will determine if they are legit or not.
Did you read this entire thread? Even after all the inconsistancies that at least some are turning out to be full fledged lies? And just what is it about trading here that is "over his head"? He seems just fine with the "taking the money or goods" part, but when it comes to the "Ship out goods or refund" part he's suddenly "over his head?
......and this makes things.......OK?
If the postage is dated later then the day they said they shipped then they lied to you, just like LF has lied.
LF explainations have more holes then my spegetti strainer![]()
I never siad that it makes things ok. Just stating points.
What imeant by hes in over his head was he reached for the sky and fell in a pit.
People can get away with a scam or two, but there are how many cases against him right now? He is basically screwed, refunds or not![]()
ihave dealt with him in the past and also have been off and on lately trying to work a deal or two so i'd like to stay.
By the way, he told me hes getting death threats from people who want their, is that really needed?

1.) File the claim with his local Police department, make sure you use the contact information for the police department in the thread on Anand.
2.) Create the claim on PayPal and escalate it ASAP.
