OMG! just got back from holiday to find this thread. I bought a Q6600 from LogitechFreak nearly 3 weeks ago and it still hasnt come!

Any advice?

For those who do not wish to pursue charges, what's the point of calling them out and looking like plain assholes? It's their right if they wish to file police reports or just bite their losses. If you want to file a report go ahead and do it. Don't insult other people for their own choices and opinions. That said, I have every bit of sympathy for those who did get shafted, but as they say... if it is too good to be true, chances are it is. When you take a risk on a product with unbelievable prices, there is a high chance you will get scammed. If you want to file a report go ahead. If nothing comes out of it, bite the bullet and live and learn... don't jump on unbelievable deals anymore.

While that is true, one thing that makes this a trading community and not just a venue like e-bay is that we help eachother when the time comes. Even if you are ready to just count your losses, by not filing a report you jeopardize the ability for those who do wish to pursue justice.
 
Yea and I completely agree with you VA, that people should help each other. However, that still does not mean people can act so rude to them. It's those people's choice whether or not they want to help the rest of [H]. As I said, it is their choice and people shouldn't knock on them or express blatant rudeness.

I called chris, I called the sheriff, filed complaints with the w3 whatever.

in the end, I got my Mac back from the scammer, I'm out 20 bucks,

With all that, and the ultimate resolution of getting my item back, would filing a criminal complaint be prudent, it can be stated that while the sale failed, it was an inconvenience, my speaking with both Chris and his mother is that he intends to repay everything, I recomend contacting his mother and talking with her.

I feel for people still waiting on answers, but I don't believe that my filing a criminal complaint would be helpful since a resolution has been achieved.

I say contact her by phone, rather then e-mail, at least you get to hear who you talk to.

40+people calling here everyday? how in the hell would anyone be able to keep track of everything? by email everything is already sorted and hard to lose track..
 
I recieved my Mac Mini from LogitechFreak, minus the right arrow on the mac aluminum keyboard, everything appears to be in working order, I'll be running some tests tomorrow, but it looks like things worked out decent on this end.

I hope things work out for everyone else as well.

and for those who donated money to my son, I have returned all the donations as things have worked out for me.
 
Alright, I emailed his Mom on army573@gmail.com just a minute ago. Hopefully i will get a response....if i dont get a response in 2 days MAX, Ill go and file a report
 
well what can i say, i received my 2x512 ddr600 today,, the one he owed me. last week i had an email from his id asking for my address. i did and that person gave me a tracking number.. i made that person clear that i had no intention of beleiving it. eventually i received it today.

ok so who all here has been refunded or got there items or issued a charge back. we need to start narrowing down the final amounts owed.

chris stated to me that he sold two 74gb western digital raptors. he is wanting the persons who bought them to email him so she can send them out. problem though,

he only has one good 74gb raptor he stated he ran the sector check on both drives last night and one of the drives had 4 bad sectors. so to whom every hasn't bought a replacement drive or who ever decides they need it the most please email me at this email address.

i know holly4pirating bought one but off the top of my head i can't remember the other person.
edit: ok the second buyer of the raptors was Brahmzy one of the two people please contact him/her at the above email address.

I'm calling complete BS on the assertion that this is anyone other than Chris himself.

Complete speculation on my part, but you have no reason to assume that this is anyone but Chris communicating via Chris' email address. Given the tone, detail and context of the emails, it's irrational to assume otherwise.

oh, ok. well i can tell that it is two different people when talking to chris or talking to his mother, chris has a small attitude about this so i know when he is the one writing to me. and his mother is forever apologizing for the trouble he has caused.
 
I just received an email from the Consumer Investigator from the Orange County Consumer Fraud Unit from when I filed with IC3. He said he spoke with Chris and that Chris said I had given him some time to send a refund money order (I gave him 2 weeks in an email last week). I told the Investigator that I told him he had 2 weeks 7 days ago. Hopefully since people seem to be getting their items, maybe I really will get my $70 back.

So, nothing is more discouraging than knowing this society of ours has become disposable. And what is even more disheartening is I don't know what I can do to change that.

Like him, I'm really sorry enough of Chris Chartier's victims didn't take the initiative in this matter to protect their own best interests. Unlike Corporal Beasley, I have little faith that Chris will make good to everyone he owes, but you can still send your complaints, and MAYBE something will happen.

You have no idea whether or not this is Chris. Logic tells you that it is Chris on the other end of those emails.

I'm not sure what repercussions this will have for my account here, but I can't be alone in thinking that this dk'_unlimited account is another one of Chris Chartier's sock puppets.
 
His grammar and tone seem suspiciously similar to chris's. I wouldn't put it past him to create yet another account and try to win everyone that he screwed over again.
 
I got the same email but at this point I wouldn't believe anything he says anymore. Don't be surprised if 2-6 weeks go by and you don't see a dime.


Yes I got that too.. but I dont have much faith on this. I have to pay my tuition fee, and being out $410 is not helping at all..............

I hear ya on that. I just emailed him back saying why the 2-6 weeks wait? At this point your word doesn't mean much especially after you scammed over 15 people for over $4k and emptied your paypal account.
