Calling all Quad owners!!!!

I know, and we should have started these threads a couple of weeks ago......:(

I look at it like this, if we can turn this thing around and win, that will really show the world what the [H] can do! We've been behind MaxPC since the start, but the gap is narrowing thanks to everyone's help.... I know we can do this!!

And you can bet that next year, I'll have reminder threads up early!!!

Yeah I cant believe I didnt think to do this earlier either. I posted in the ATI forum for GPUs, but why I didnt think of the Intel forum is beyond me. Anyway props, digital. Good Idea!! ;)
 
Thanks to everyone who is helping out with the Challenge!! Your contribution will help the [H]orde tremendously! Stop down in the DC forum and say hi sometime. Lots of good guys down there.

Also keep in mind that you can fold with your ATI cards should you own a HD 2000 series or 3000 series. If you need some help let me know. Gpu folding does require an unused CPU core.

You would want to use your username on that machine. If your computer name is MAINPC and your username is Jack then you would use MAINPC\Jack and then it will ask you for your password. If the PC is on a domain then use DOMAIN\Jack and your password.
 
I think i need a little help, so i need a login password into windows for this to work? I dont use a login password on my computer.....:confused:
 
mine should be finishing its first unit (78%) early this coming morning. crashed earlier due to heat :(

The SMP does require you to have a user name and pw on the system.

If you have any other questions, I might suggest you post in the Distributed Computing sub forum, you will get a quicker answer, and ther are some guides there too ;)

I used my admin account to run it and will change the password once the gauntlet is finished.
Alternatively, make a normal user account and grant privileges to the F@H folders if needed.
You can create another temporary admin account if the above are no use.

added a 3.4GHz q6600 on Saturday, although it's on Vista64 and only churning out 3k PpD :( wtb usb drive with linux VM's + more RAM usage...

given a little more notice I'd have turned it up to 3.6+ (3.4 only takes 1.35vCore, everything else stock, stopped there until I have time; now that finals are done this rig is getting bolt modded and WC'd :) )

contributing with my Q9300@ 3.33ghz and my other Q6600 3.2GHz....gonna get my friends Phenom 9500 up on this too...gotta beat Maximum pc
