Is there any benefit to running the memory over the top of the CPU? Like right now I am running a 360FSB with a 4:5 RAM divider putting the memory at 450mhz (DDR2 900). Is it worth it to do that or would I be better off being 1:1?
Benchmark it both ways with something that simulates your main use, 3dmark for gaming as an example.
I am of the opinion that for a c2d system you will probally be better off 1:1 as you will not be introducing extra wait cycles or extra buffers when addressing the memory. But just check it for yourself and see.
