Buying open box motherboard - dumb idea?

If they sell a bunch their feedback should let you know if they sell bogus boards.

Mostly positive feedback - a few complaints - someone complained that some standoffs, M.2 screws were missing. The + feedback is 99.5%. I could only find 2 bad complaints - one, someone claimed the board didn't work and returned it. The other one, someone claimed that they received the wrong board and the buyer got a partial refund. The seller has been around since 2016 - has the category: "Top-rated seller: One of eBay's most reputable sellers." For whatever that's worth. I'm still concerned/reluctant....although, it looks okay, I suppose.

Update: I bought the open box *yet considered new* Asus Z690 Tuf Gaming D4 Wifi. Crossing fingers, praying, etc. Just waiting for the official transaction to be complete now.
