Hello there.

I'm about to buy a new PC and I would like to have a second opinion around here.

I'll buy the system on NCIX. I've started from one of their promoted gaming setup and changed some things to save money.

My main concerns are : 1. Is this system build any good? 2. Are there blatant compatibility issues between pieces? 3. Are there anything to be done to save some money and have approximately the same power?

Here the NCIX link with every pieces : http://pc.ncix.com/ncixpc/ncixpc.cfm?uuid=1BC63B2A-725A-433E-A1E4D736F5F51CBF-5564864

And, of course, here are the usuals questions answered :

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming. (looking for a PC that can run games maxed out for some time)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
1800 (before tax and shipping)
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Canada
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Well... Everything. PC casing, cpu, motherboard, graphic card, power supply, heatsink, dvd reader (no blue ray needed), audio card (needed to support my headset, nothing too fancy, but I need an headset AMP), HDD, SSD...
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None
6) Will you be overclocking?
Mildly
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Two monitor 22" running mostly at 1920x1080
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB3.0
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, windows 7 64 bits

Can you build a PC or are you looking to buy a gaming PC from a vendor?

The quality of that PC is good but just really overpriced (even without factoring in labor costs) and actually overkill due to the following reason:
1) That motherboard is well beyond your required needs. I highly doubt you'll use even half the extra features that's found on that Gigabyte motherboard. You'll be fine with a far cheaper motherboard like the Asus Z87-A.

2) With current Intel platforms, there's little to no noticeable performance increases with RAM speeds higher than DDR3 1600. So no need to spend extra cash for DDR3 2133 unless for e-peen purposes.

3) You have not mentioned any plans for SLI. As such, no reason for such a high power PSU. For taht planned setup, you would be fine with a solid 550W PSU like the Seasonic SSR-550RM.

4) I'd go with the more reputable Samsung 840 Evo SSDs over that Kingston.

5) IMO, that Coolermaster case isn't worth the money as there better quality and/or better cooling cases out there for the money:

Thanks for the answers!

I went for the NZXT Phantom 530 Black Full Tower ATX Case casing instead. I liked the 4 fans setup and overall looks of it (while saving almost 100$). I'll probably settle with the samsung also, after reading on both of them the choice seems simple!
