So I've had a bit of bad luck lately as you can see.

both dropped lol. These are the first electronic devices that I have broken like this. So sad. But the point is that I'm thinking about replacing both with the microsoft surface pro when it comes out. Any thoughts?I used the netbook for work. Nothing intense of course, office, Power point, reading pdfs, etc. I did a bit of lite gaming too. I was never really sure why I had the tablet lol. I tried reading on it and did not like it. I have high hopes for the surface but dont want to end up with something i cant stand to use.

Can't hurt to give it a try but I think the x86 version is coming out after the RT version, so I assume you'll probably be waiting until early next year...

Looks like you're a candidate for one of those extremely thick ottoerboxes. I seriously doubt the surface is shatter resistant.

Have you checked out the offerings by Fisher Price or Playskool?

Yeah, unfortunately you either need to take better care of your stuff, or get cases to carry them in. I have a Kindle Fire and didn't even take it out of the house until I got a nice protective case for it.
