I've almost beat the game and I gotta say... AWESOME! From the very begining to the point I'm at now, this game ROCKS! I love the level where you remotely control the huge Dino-Looking Beast, never quite seen it done like that before... Frickin Great:D

Your Thoughts?

Fun game! It doesn't take itself seriously, huge setpieces, and you get to fight in a different way. People Can Fly did a really good job.

If you go in expecting something along the lines of a Duke Nukem or Serious Sam kind of ridiculous, not at all serious FPS, you'll come out pleased. I had a fun time running through the single player, and want to get back to the co-op stuff at some point.

D2D is in the middle of a month long sale in which one deal is posted per day. I hope that Bulletstorm gets put up there sometime during the next two weeks.

I liked the demo, but I'll wait for it to come down in price. Might pick it up when its $20-30. Full price is too much to pay for such a short game, plus the low FOV bugged me in the demo, hopefully they fix it or someone hacks it to increase the FOV.

Game is so much fun. Its stupid, and silly, but the fun factor wins out over so many other games.

"ILL KILL YOUR DICK" is the best line in a videogame in years.

Agreed. It won't get all the praise it should because its shortness.

But its insanely fun. Its the best FPS you'll play if you want to feel like
you're 9 and you wanna snicker at some bad words again. The scene
where you're being lead around by the bald dude, he calls you every
insult in the book, and no matter how many times I hear them, I still
laugh at them.

Most of his insults aren't in any book at all :p

Also, Waggleton P. Tallywhacker is going down as the best new video game character of 2011.

It's too bad that you get the best weapon of all just when the game ends, short but sweet. It'll drop to like 10 bucks on Steam someday. Put this one on your Xmas shopping list!

A sixty dollar turd. I'll wait till it goes to a 5 dollar steam sale.

Are the controls in the full version still ripped directly from the console controller like in the demo, or have they patched it up to something approaching deceny?

I have it for PC and I enjoyed playing through the campaign a lot. It was mindless, stupid fun that reminded me a lot of Gears of War.

I played through the campaign and had a blast. Definitely had me laughing more than once. Good stuff.

I don't mind that it was short - my attention span for single player games isn't very long. I've only ever beaten maybe 10 videogames all the way through... I usually get bored with the story and have much more fun online.

the game is so over-the-top it is excellent. had a great time playing this, especially the last few levels. the conversations between hunt and the general are beyond hilarious.

This is a great game, hate that it hasn't done well, gaming in general needs more games like this.

Oh WOW, I just started playing Crysis 2 today and this has gotta be my Favorite Game Of All Time!!! But I still love Bulletstorm!

Indeed.

Its worth maybe $20 for the 6 hours of single player you get. No "real" MP to speak of.

But it is quite fun , hopefully the sequel won't be so short and vapid of replay value.

The "Echoes" mode is fun and adds replay value, and the campaign is pretty worth playing through several times on several difficulties.

I think if they make a second, now that they have our attention... They should spend a lot more time on it and polish it up like Crysis & Crysis 2... Then they'd have their $60 game!

The demo sucked. I'm glad to see, judging by all these enthusiastic responses, that the demo must not have been representative of the game.

I'm convinced that this title will be one of the daily deals presently happening at D2D.

The game flopped quite miserably on the market. Epic is a rich company so it's possible they might still do a sequel but with the kind of sales the game got, it would mean no sequel for most other developers out there.

Ya it is suppose to be. I got an email at the begining of the sale, and that was one of the newer titles listed. Dead space 2, Civ 5, and Rift were some of the other ones listed. Don't remember seeing Rift yet but I know the other two already went on sale.

That's great news.

So is the FOV fix easy to do - did I see something somewhere about having to download a program for this?

I thought it was fun too. The only thing I hated was the fact that we have absolutely no freedom. We can't even go down from the second floor of a building, to the first floor, by jumping through the whole on the ground...because there's an invisible wall that prevents us from doing so. We need to take the glowing ladder to go down...I find that extremely ridiculous!

Apart from that, great vistas, semi-decent story (nothing special really), very fun to play with fast paced set pieces.

You guys are actually making me think about buying Bulletstorm before too long after all.

Did I read right somewhere that this some outside app or anything to make some graphics or FOV adustments? What's the story on all of that?

For once, it's nice to see a thread where most people actually post about enjoying a game instead of what we usually get.

I watched my son play it on the 360, and that was enough to turn me off. It is way too fast with how they move. It made me sick watching him play. I thought the commercials looked cool but seeing it in person it seemed too ridiculous.

It was anything but a "flop" and there will be a sequel , count on it.

And if you include overseas sales , it sold reasonably well.

What turned off most people from playing from what I can tell is the extremely short single player , 6 hours is not long enough for a 60 dollar game lacking a real MP mode. Its far too expensive for even a fun adventure that this game provides.

The sequel only needs to make SP longer and offer a "real" MP mode and it'll take off.

This is admittedly old news but this article says that initial sales were very disappointing...

If the first 3 weeks of sales were bad, I'm inclined to think that they wouldn't suddenly increase in the next 4. Can you show any numbers to back up your claim?
