1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I will be gaming and web browsing. I plan on playing FPS such as BF3, COD, Delta force (if it ever gets released). My last computer was in 2004 and had amd 64 +3200, 9800pro...If this shows you how out of date I am. I need help! Thanks for comments/suggestions.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I want it to be $750 or less preferably, not including tax/shipping

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Tucson, AZ 85705

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, Motherboard, Ram, Video Card, Hdd, Case, PSU, DVD drive, wireless adapter

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None, starting from scratch

6) Will you be overclocking?
No

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Max Resolution = 1600x900
Brand/Model = Acer x203h
Size= 20"

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Would like to buy it this weekend and build it throughout the week.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc.
USB3.0 would be nice

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Brand new win7 pro 64 bit

Try this out, better PSU and hard drive, and it lets you pick your own case.

$104.99 MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
$46.99 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
$59.99 SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
$219.99 GIGABYTE GV-N560UD-1G GeForce GTX 560 Ti

There is a combo on the i5-2400 (if you aren't overclocking) and a Corsair 650TX V2:
$256.98

Which is $688.94 without a case (and mail-in rebates). Danny Bui has a couple of lists of cases floating around, you could probably pick a nice one off of there. Puts you a little over budget, but in the ballpark.

You could also save another $10 with this combo on the motherboard and some Corsair Vengeance RAM:
$141.98

I have narrowed down my selection to the following two cards below

GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) GV-N56GSO-1GI Video Card
and
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) GV-N560UD-1G Video Card

the superclock has a higher core clock 900mhz to 822mhz(TI) and shader clock 1800 to 1644mhz(TI) but the TI has more stream processors 384(TI) to 336(superclock)

My question is it better to have a higher core clock/shader clock or have more stream processors? Sorry if this a newbie question, I will be ordering today so if anyone can elaborate it would be great.

Go with the GTX 560 TI: You can always OC the GPU's clocks. You can't add additional stream processors.

Oh and here's the case list Forceman was talking about:
$50 - NZXT Source 210 Elite Black ATX Case
$50 - NZXT Source 210 Elite White with Black Front Trim ATX Case
$70 - Lian Li Lancool PC-K58 ATX Case
$80 - Lian Li Lancool PC-K56W ATX Case
$90 - Lian Li Lancool PC-K56 ATX Case
$90 - Cooler Master CM690 II Advance ATX Case
$90 - Lian Li Lancool PC-K7B ATX Case
$100 - Cooler Master CM690 II Advance nVidia Edition ATX Case
$100 - Cooler Master HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP ATX Case
$100 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case
$100 - Lian Li Lancool PC-K58W ATX Case
$100 - Lian Li PC-7B Plus II ATX Case
$110 - Lian Li PC-60FN ATX Case
$125 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Full Tower ATX Case
$125 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK Black Full Tower ATX Case
$125 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-002OR Black Finish w/Orange Trim Full Tower ATX Case
$130 - Corsair Carbide Series 500R ATX Case

Definitely go with Forceman's setup. It's very solid.

Thanks, I actually ended up going with that bundle I posted earlier as a friend convinced me that the better cpu would be worth it in the long run and I can upgrade at a later point with the psu.

Well your friend steered you wrong. The ONLY difference between a "K" series processor and non "K" series processor is the "K" has the multiplier unlocked, so it can be over clocked easier. It is NOT faster/better stock for stock with a non "K" version of the same number.

Also that hard drive in the bundle is significantly slower than the one suggested by Forceman.

it's amazing how many times we will ask these Q's and then ignore the answers and do what we wanted to do before we asked for help ...
