Whats up everybody, I am new to the town and looking for a PC :p

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, although once in a while I use tasking apps like Premiere and VMWare

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
About $2500

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Kansas

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, CPU Cooler, Motherboard, Memory, SSD, Video Card(s), Case, Power Supply, Optical Drive, OS, Display (might think about Keyboard, Mouse, Speaker upgrade)

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None

6) Will you be overclocking?
Maybe, but at stable levels most of the time

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
No monitor

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within this month

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I am really thinking of going with a motherboard that is socket 2011-v3 with full x16 PCIe for SLI. M.2 might be nice to have in the future as well.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No, but this will be 64bit.

Other Thoughts:
Monitor: I am thinking for monitor either dual 1080ps or 1 30" 2560x1440
Video Card: I like the performance of two 970s in SLI (performance scaling with two cards on newer games seems to be really good)
Motherboard/CPU: I'd like to go with 2011-v3. I have thought about cutting the price in this build by going with the lower end CPU and initally buying a low amount of ram and then upgrading later (over 8gb isn't really needed in games still). However, I will eventually want to use this for tasking apps but is not needed right now.

Everything else I am not really sure about at all

Also, Micro Center is in range :D

Drive isn't to far only about 20-30 mins.

Btw, the Phantom 410 NZXT is starting to grow on me. What do you guys think about it?

All right here's the deal: Unless Premier Pro and VM Ware are going to take up 85% or more of your time spent on the PC RIGHT now and you absolutely need more than 32GB of RAM, there's really no good reason for you to go with the X99 platform right now. You're not doing anything that would justify the extra $400+ for the X99 platform over a Z97 platform right now

As for the case, I don't recommend the Phantom 410 on account of how cramped it is. COnsidering that you have SLI plans, I definitely would not use that case.

So here's a quick and dirty build:
$390 - Intel Core i7 4790K + AsRock Z97X Killer ATX Motherboard
$153 - Crucial BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00 Ballistix Sport 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
$660 - Two GTX 970 if you can find them in-stock
$240 - Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD
$84 - Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$20 - LG GH24NSB0B DVD Burner
$160 - Seasonic X850 Gold 850W Modular PSU
$29 - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus HSF
$91 - Windows 8.1 64bit
------
Total: $1827 shipped

Choose your own case. I recommend the following:

Thanks for the help, your right about X99. Based off benchmarks I've seen, I am not going to gain anything unless I really use programs that need a lot of memory/compute power.
