Hey Guys, Looking to build a computer very soon. It will primarily be used as a sound editing computer and composing computer.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Composing music and editing music. Computer needs to be able to handle a large amount of loaded tracks. Gaming on the side

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
2500 Absolute Max. If possible I would prefer to keep it down between 1500 and 2000

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
California. Near a Micro Center in Tustin

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Build from scratch: Ram, Processor, HDD, SDD, Case, Optical Drive, Video Card and Sounds Card (SteinburgUR22) Monitor and OS

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None

6) Will you be overclocking?
No

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Looking for a 22-30 in Monitor

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP! Ready to buy tomorrow

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No

Bout 1 hour, give or take
Not really worth going to MC then unless you drive an electric vehicle.

All right, here's a prelim build (without sound card or monitor):
$310 - Intel Core i7-4790 CPU
$88 - Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Intel H97M mATX Motherboard
$286 - 2 x Crucial BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00 Ballistix Sport 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
$330 - Any GTX 970 you can find from Asus, eVGA, MSI, or Gigabyte.
$130 - Samsung 840 Evo Series 250GB SSD
$100 - Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001 3TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$18 - LG GH24NSB0B DVD Burner
$130 - Seasonic X650 Gold 650W Modular PSU
$71 - Noctua NH-D14 120mm and 140mm HSF
$92 - Windows 8.1 64bit
----
$1555 plus tax and shipping

Since this is for audio work, you'll more than likely want a quiet PC. Hence why I went higher-end on the PSU and HSF: Both are proven to be very very quiet components.

Choose your own case.. So I recommend the following low-noise cases:
$90 - Antec P280 ATX Case
$90 - Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl ATX Case
$120 - NZXT H440 White/Black ATX Case
$120 - NZXT H440 Red/Matte Black ATX Case
$130 - Corsair Obsidian Series 550D ATX Case
$240 - Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case
