1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Moslty gaming

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

My budget isnt set , but would love the best ''money for quality'' i could get

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Cpu , Ram , mobo and maybe PSu , see below

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

Case Corsair 500R (new)
cpu cooler Corsair H60 (new)

You're planning a bit too early unless you mean you're planning on buying in the first week of July. I recommend bumping up this thread when you're 1-2 weeks away from buying the actual parts so that you can get an up-to-date build list.

With that said, you are definitely replacing your PSU unless you happen to have the ECO version of the Liberty 620. If it's not the ECO version, you're looking at a new PSU for sure.

ok... new PSU.

i was planning on doing my build in july... since im in '' vacation'' for a month

Any particular online Canadian computer hardware store you plan on buying from?

i do not have a preference to be honest.

im lurking on newegg and amazon

i was looking at a rig like yours tbh dangman. 4770k

You're not overclocking so you don't need to get a K series CPU. However, considering that you're coming from a Core i7 960, going with a Core i5 CPU isn't exactly an appropriate upgrade. So you're looking at the Core i7 4770 or the Core i7 4790 with a H87/Z87 or H97/Z97 motherboard respectively.

what mobo should i look at ?

gigabyte z97-ud5h seems like a very good deal

im not familiar with asrock...all my build have been done with gigabyte.

are they reliable?

Yes. Many people have used ASRock boards with no problems.

If you insist on Gigabyte, however, don't buy a $200 board when all you need is a $100 (or cheaper) board. The Gigabyte "equivalent" to the ASRock Z97 Pro3 is the GA-Z97-HD3.

Side question: Do you live near a physical Memory Express or Canada Computers store?

so i narrowed my choice. Please comment.

Since you're not overclocking, no reason for you to get the 4790K.

Seasonic SSR-550RM 550W PSU.
