So my little brother currently has a computer that was passed down to him from out dad a while back and it is really showing its age. Currently, the newest game he plays is SC2, and he can barely run that on all low. Xmas is around the corner, and he is asking for a new computer so I have been tasked with picking out the parts.

Current rig:
AMD 4000+ @ 2.4 Ghz
2 GB Ram
7800GT

AGP and 939 still

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Web browsing and gaming (mostly Starcraft 2)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Would like to keep it between $500-$550 without shipping and order from amazon to avoid tax
3) Where do you live?
Cali and near a Micro Center
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Mobo, CPU/cooler, Videocard, PSU, and a new case if the budget permits (current case is a piece of junk)
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
He just got a new western digital HDD (not sure of model) because his old one finally died
6) Will you be overclocking?
No
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Has a 22" 1920x1080
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Next couple weeks
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
Nothing specific
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Already own Windows 7 64-bit

$131 - Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition + Biostar A785G3 AMD AM3 mATX Motherboard (tax already factored in)
$53 - PNY Optima MD4096KD3-1333 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
$203 - XFX HD-685X-ZNFC Radeon HD 6850 1GB PCI-E Video Card
$70 - Corsair 550VX 550W PSU
$50 - Cooler Master Elite 335 RC-335-KKN1-GP ATX Case

Total: $507 shipped

What about the Antec EA-650 PSU? It's $52 after rebate, and $72 w/o rebate.

If I couldnt get the mobo/cpu from Micro center would you still recommend the same parts?

I'd rather keep everything on amazon and avoid the drive to MC unless there is a significant price difference. Seems to be only ~$30 difference on amazon.

No. I would recommend this CPU and motherboard instead:
