If you're gonna ask us to build/list a PC for you or seek advice about a build, please answer all of the following questions:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Web browsing, typing, and some gaming. No FPSs; most demanding thing will probably be DA3 when it comes out.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

1600-$2000

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

New York, NY. There's a Microcenter about a 15 minute drive away. No Frys around here.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Case, Motherboard, GPU, Processor, Memory, Monitor, Storage (27" 1440p non-Korean preferred), Mouse, Wifi (5 Ghz capability preferred, could be integrated). Would prefer 500GB SSD (1TB seems just too expensive right now, as much as I might want it). Mouse would be replacing a Logitech Revolution MX which has mostly given up charging, so something in that vein would be great. No non-stock CPU cooler required, as I'm not planning on doing any overclocking, unless there's some reason to go elsewhere from the stock Intel cooler.

I'm debating between mATX and mini-ITX. Looking at what's out there, I really like the smallness of the SG10. The SG05 looks incredible in size, but I'm not sure whether I want to go that small or whether it's worth going mini-ITX just for that. Not planning on doing much/any overclocking myself.

If I go with either of these options, I imagine I'd also need an external CD/DVD drive, unless folks think there's a slot-loader worth it on the SG10.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

Keyboard (MS Natural 4000). Would love to try an ergonomic mechanical keyboard, but they all seem to be $200+ and I don't know that I can justify the price. Speakers are being done through a Denon receiver and Bookshelf speakers/headphones.

6) Will you be overclocking?

No

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?

As noted, would like a new one- upgrading from a Dell 2407.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Either very soon or mid-October (out of town Oct 7-19).

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.

If it's mini-ITX, wifi. Otherwise, nothing in particular, other than some sort of digital output for the receiver.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

Legit release copy of Windows 7 (bought years ago through a student purchase program, never used.

Many thanks!

Before we can recommend anything, you really have to decide on the case first. Since we're talking about mATX VS mITX, it really comes down to what case you want. In generaly, the only three big advantages that mATX has over mITX are:
1) SLI/CFX capability
2) The ability to use more than 16GB of RAM
3) Better cooling depending on the case.

All right, here's a starting point:
$280 - Intel Core i5 4690K + Asus H97M-E/CSM mATX Motherboard Microcenter combo
$158 - Crucial BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00 Ballistix Sport 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
$330 - Any GTX 970 from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, or eVGA you can find at either Microcenter or online
$240 - Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD
$87 - Seasonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Modular PSU
$110 - Silverstone SG10B mATX Case

Total: $1205 shipped

For the monitor, I recommend hitting up the Display subforum for recommendations.
