Option A isn't the best choice as even with the extra cores, it performs roughly the same as the Core i5 2400.

Option B is probably gonna be your best bet out of those two options.
 
Thanks Danny. I was looking at the bench marks and I wasn't really impressed with the 8 cores either. Thinking of applying the 80 Ill save there and apply it to the GTX480!
 
Oh did not see your edit there for the GPUs: Yeah at $150, the GTX 550 TI is way overpriced considering the $110 HD 6770 outperforms it in games. The GTX 480 is a good card but has a few cons compared to the $260 GTX 560 TI 448 Core:
- Uses a bit more power
- Generates a bit more heat
- Is a bit louder.

Both cards will perform about the same in most games. However the GTX 480's big advantage over the GTX 560 TI 448 Core is that it has extra VRAM which is really useful if you're playing games like Skyrim or BF3. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Actually, don't confuse the regular GTX 560 Ti with the GTX 560 Ti 448-Core: The regular GTX 560 Ti is available with either 1GB or 2GB of VRAM (the 2GB version is rarer than the 1GB version) due to its 256-bit memory bus. The GTX 560 Ti 448-Core actually has a 320-bit memory bus, so it comes with 1.2GB (actually, 1.25GB) of VRAM (in fact, the GTX 560 Ti 448 Core is actually a GTX 570 with one of its 15 shader units disabled). The GTX 480 has a 384-bit memory bus, and most GTX 480s have 1.5GB of VRAM (3GB versions exist, but are relatively rare).

Thanks for looking out for me. How much of a difference does video ram make and what kind of applications can you feel the difference?
 
The 480 is better deal over the regular GTX 560 TI.
