Hi, my wife works in a very small sign shop and has pretty awful computers. I think her main PC is due for an upgrade and if it could be done for around $400 that would be excellent. The current machine is running Vista and is just all around bad, so we don't need a powerhouse to be a huge upgrade.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc Mainly Corel Draw X5, Outlook, light photoshop work
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? $400-$500 with tax + shipping included
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible. Boston area, near a Microcenter
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need. Case, mobo, powersupply, CPU, RAM, video card, DVD-R drive
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model. Have a monitor (20" I think), a copy of Windows 7, and a keyboard + mouse
6) Will you be overclocking? No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it? Probably 1920, about 20". Would like support for 2 monitors (of about that same size). Monitors not part of this budget, but would take a recommendation on an inexpensive one!
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Within next 2-4 weeks
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc. Nothing special comes to mind. The total company storage of work files is about 200gb. We have an external drive for backup, but might put them all on this new machine for speed reasons
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit? Yes, Win 7 64 bit
THANKS!
