Yeah, but I've noticed several times that some players are not really focused on team play. They're just there for the k/d ratio which is exactly what Brink doesn't reward...I really appreciate that Splash Damage keeps promoting this genre (which effectively only they promote), basically because it's the only multiplayer aspect I like (team play), but I think the majority just doesn't get into it. Same thing happened with Quake Wars, but Brink makes some things much more clear and easy to get into. Here's hoping that that changes something.
This is inevitably what cools my heels on a lot of online gaming.
I've had a few good runs with this but I've also been on a number of runs where, for example, no one even bothered to be an engineer or mechanic so I knew if I died just to immediately hit the respawn option and you could forget about getting certain tasks done. Other times I could see two medics run right by me and do nothing. That's worthless.
No team work. No cohesion. No nothing.
I think playing BC2 has spoiled me in that regard. I play on good servers there and rarely if ever see that kind of nonsense to such a degree like I'm seeing in this.
It's one of a number of things that makes me doubt this game's long term prospects.
