Finally finished Fire Emblem: Awakening, started looking for next game to get. Bravely Default comes out Feb 7th (day after I turn 30, ewww, old). So will be looking to get this as soon as it becomes available, already put in pre-order for collectors edition.

Im eyeing this game too. Did you played the demo?

No I have not, but I saw some good videos from the UK players (since they already got it in November). It looks like a mix of Final Fantasy and Tales of Symphonia to me, so I am looking forward to it.

i started playing it , demo is an addition to the game , so its spoiler free.

Kensuke Nakahara stated that it is based on FF3 and FF5 (I can personally tell 5 influenced it heavily after watching the IGN demo with the job classes heh even FFTactics used the jobs aspect hugely) So if you're a fan of those games battle system this one's definitely for you.

He was also concerned whether this was the best thing for a new IP. But it has sold very well in Japan so far and been rated high so who am I to object. Yet if the story is engaging and the combat is fan friendly, but is exciting what's wrong with that. People enjoy classic gameplay for the most part, it's comforting to most I presume. The visuals look really good from what I saw and I liked the art that was done on the mobs. I think it's a solid buy and JRPG game from SE, but I know nothing of the storyline to it. I would like to know something about the plot....

Shit, if I can tear it away from the wife and her hopeless addiction to animal crossing I am going to check this out.

Wasn't sure I was going to like it because it's a classic JRPG, but after playing the demo I pre-ordered it. It's oddly addicting and class combinations you can make are interesting.

So I have payed already for an American CE and a regular edition of it. I am hugely interested in the UE CE and now have to find an unopened edition for sale, yay. I think this may be the first CE in a while that I am fully interested in and want to keep unopened.

Just put in an order to Amazon for a Mario & Luigi Dream Team 3DS XL system and a preorder for Bravely Default.
I owned a XL about a year ago but sold it after a month or two (mostly played DS games on it) but now seems to be a good time to pick up another one and play some 3DS games that interest me.

Also ordered:
Fire Emblem: Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl
Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan
Resident Evil: Revelations
Shin Megami Tensei IV

Edit: Added a couple more games to that list. :D

I'm pumped about it. I completed the demo to get the head start boost. I do love me some 3ds rpgs!

Got the collectors edition preordered too. Wonder if I will start this game before Zelda which I havent had a chance to begin playing...

I've played the Demo NON stop this last week I literally probably cannot do any more within the demo itself. I pre-ordered the special edition at the local mom and pops game shop (gamestop can fuck itself). Now how to get my 8 month pregnant wifes hands off the XL...is ether bad for babys? :D

This is probably the most exciting JRPG since Ni No Kuni frankly. I love this demo. I'm pumped for the game.

I was confused by the battle system at first. Once it clicked though I was hooked and put in 9 1/2 hours completing the demo. Collectors edition pre-ordered.

Amazing game. I played the living daylights out of the demo, like so many others, and immediately went out and got the collectors edition. Square-Enix needs to know these types of games still sell, and sometimes simple GOOD Jrpgs can still do well in this market. I am glad Nintendo picked up the slack on this one.

Maybe I'll have to try the demo again...it didn't really "grab" me the first time.

Going to gamestop tonight after work to pick up my CE pre-order

The demo threw me off for the first play-through I had NO idea what I was doing at all, didn't even know about classes etc.

When I realized right from the start that you could set classes, I started a new game and immediately set everything up, went straight to the dungeon / cave to the west and had a much better time, after that I went desert hunting for kitties and did fine.

I like that its standalone, and you get bonuses for the regular game. Cant wait!

Just got my CE, popped in the cartridge and will be playing it later! After playing the demo on hard, I think this is one of the few games where I will play it on normal my first run through.

Just picked up my copy today. I played the shit out of the demo and unlocked everything I could. For those of you wondering, the actual game is about a BILLION times better than the demo was. They REALLY left a lot out as far as just how diverse the game is.The story seems to be really good so far as well. It's your typical RPG story but the voice acting is done really well imo. Definitely worth the buy if you ask me..

If anyone wants to trade FC codes, shoot me a PM! More friends you have for this game, the better.

After some time in the game, it definitely feels like the closest thing to the older Final Fantasy games (as you said, particularly 5).

About to enter the 4th temple.
About 24ish hours played
Lvl 62.
One class maxed for each character so far.

Love the game!

Finally having a chance to play it today, been in it for 3 hours so far, loving it, Level 5 atm, just talked with the King after Agnes said she would "handle it". So loven it, started my first item in the town to rebuild *armory*. This is great. No online here at work though so I cant get my streetpass guys to help just yet. Im gonna leave the system in sleep mode tonight to build up another SP point.

They did a great job implementing features on how you want to play. My characters are level 37 and 36 barely started chapter 1. The options make grinding easy, efficient, a bit cheesy, but not a long bore that puts me off the game. I wish these enemies would give more JP though

Mine is : Kadath

Code : 2337-3338-3234

I added everyone that offered up a code. The more the merrier for this game.

5-6 is NOTHING once you are at lvl 5-6 on the buildings. Shit, Im at almost 90 workers due to building a home streetpass router and even with that it's getting extremely long.

Playability my good man. I know I will be playing this game for a while.

At this time, I am almost done Chapter 2 and finally decided to run over and handle the ranger quest. Did good. ;)

Currently;

Level 26 Tiz, level 9 Monk / Freelancer
Level 26 Edea, level 9 Knight / Summoner
Level 25 Ringabel, level 9 Thief / Ranger
Level 26 Agnes, level 9 White mage / Black mage

21 towns-folk, with level 10 armory and blacksmith

Loving it entirely, has gotten my most attention for a 3ds game thus far almost getting in range of beating Fire Emblem for time taken. And definitely taking first for most time 3ds left in sleep mode ;)
