Logged into my headless boxen thru RDP and was checking windows update when all of a sudden there was a sharp tick sound and the boxen went black and would not power back up. Removed the fairly new OCZ 600w PSU and scrounged up an old 350w unit and saw LEDs light up on mobo. Tried to power up but it either shuts off right away or runs but won't post. Don't know if this PSU is powerful enough (12v rail only 20A) and it only has 1 - 4pin ATX connector which if connected results in the shut down. I'm thinking the OCZ PSU might have taken the mobo or CPU with it when it went. Don't have any other spare PSU's unless I grab one outta the farm. Think I might have an old E7200 CPU tho which I'll look for later. Would be a shame to see this rig go tho : Q6600/Maximus Formula. Has been running OC'd 24/7/365 since mid 2007 folding for the Horde the whole time and was my main rig for 3 years.
sniff :(

OCZ PSU is your issue, it probably died and killed something with it..

I feel your pain. I've been fighting gremlins all over my house and folding farm for weeks now. Still have a boxen down. I bought a new mobo and have it sitting next to me ready to try to get the box back up and running. I will probably give it a whirl tomorrow.
