Okay, my system:

Phenom II X4 2.8ghz
4gb RAM
GTX670 SC 4096MB
Windows 7 64-bit
Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H

What will be bottlenecking my system if I'm running at 1920x1080 (and sometimes 2560x1440)? Trying to figure out what I need to upgrade.

Definitely not the graphics card...gotta be the CPU. 4GB RAM may be cutting it low too if you have background apps open.
 
Are you having issues running games with that setup?
 
Do you have an SSD?

No SSD but I have one sitting around I could use for my boot drive.

If I bring the ram to 8gb, then what processor would I need to go to?

And I can max most games but not with high AA, and some games lag. But I'm also asking because I kno my performance would be better with a better processor, since my graphics card is high end.
 
So, just got into the Planetside 2 Beta. At 1920x1080, Im definitely having slowdown issues. This is after my upgrade to the GTX 670 4gb...

So, I'm definitely gonna move to 8gb RAM I think (it's so cheap), but before I do that I need to make sure I'm using the right processor, incase I need to change the motherboard. Should I switch to Intel if I upgrade?

Umm, you do know your mobo uses DDR2 RAM right and not DDR3 RAM? DDR2 RAM isn't all that cheap compared to their DDR3 counterparts.

If you have to get a new motherboard, just go for a full Intel upgrade at that point.
