Borderlands 4

Gameplay wise Borderlands 3 was probably the best, even if 2 was the best game overall, but they really need to tone down the amount of legendaries for the next game.
 
This doesn't look exciting to me. Think I will pass this and get it on a deep discount like most Borderlands games end up being.

seems like they're just making the same game with updated graphics...sort of like Call of Duty or Flight Simulator...Pitchford needs to innovative or make something new not named Borderlands
 
My friend on Steam said this series is a ongoing Meme. Hoping for the best usually the story is the introduction of new characters and old that's it. Like how many times have they introduced claptrap? He's even in the movie...

Same. 1 & 2 were some of my favorite games for revisiting, I had them on disc before I had them on Steam and loved every minute of them. I even slapped the money down for Pandora's box.

I couldn't for the life of me get past the 8hrs that i had to slog through in the 3rd one though. One day I might try to finish it.
But it does look like more of the same, except it looks more like 2 than 3 from what I can see in the trailer, which is a good thing.
 
BL3 sold over 18 million copies as of 2023. I think they'll keep making them as long as they keep selling. To be the first game was original, had a nice theme/setting. BL2 had a slightly better story, but got a bit bloated. BL3 played the best, but the story and whatnot were not as good as BL2. At this point it is getting to be more of the same. Counting The Pre-Sequel and Tina's Wonderlands, there have been 5 BL games. Hard to make a 6th game really standout.

That is only a little more than half the copies Borderlands 2 sold.

It took 2 years for BL2 to sell 8.5 million copies. BL3 sold 8 million copies in 1 year.

In 7 years, BL2 sold 20 million copies. BL3 sold 18 million in 5 years. It seems like it is selling at a similar pace. Give it another 5-6 years on the market with $5 sales and I'm sure the numbers will match up closely.
 
Game on. Rolled through BL2, 3, TPS, and TinyTina. Can't find a reason this won't be fun. Lock and load for another shoot, loot, and scoot!
 
I too have commented on how the humor in the games has never been that great. Most of the humor is not funny. But I doubt Gearbox will make "dark humor" as they put it. It will be politically correct humor, which would be even worse than what they had in previous games. Hopefully I am wrong though I kind of doubt it.

but if you take away one you take them all away. That way no one gets offended that you took their humor away and others don't get offended because you let others find humor in something.
 
Ah yes, the classic conundrum of clean comics - ones who opt to not swear or get into vulgarity and profanity - killed all of comedy for their bold choice because of a specious zero sum argument.
 
New driver on 50 series will include black crayon outline mode called "borderland".
 
I can't wait for this game. I've loved every single one of them, toilet humor included. I would love to see Fl4k in it in some effect.

tell the developers you are dying...maybe they will send you a free copy before it's released...I heard about that happening in the past...one guy was really sick and wanted to see the newest Star Wars movie before he died...the director send him a copy of the movie

That would be amazing, just to see the follow up post. "Got early access to preview Borderlands 4 before anyone else in the world, didn't like it, tried to refund it, but it was free and they said they can't refund it." :p

Though if you're having medical problems, best of luck to you Comix.
 
I'm fine really :smuggrin: I can judge the game by the Gameplay they should hoping for some atmosphere and not Mind Numbing Shooter Looter game. Remember Tiny Tina's Wonderland? I thought so....

I just want a Clone of Borderlands 1 they made everything slicker in every game after.

I believe I read when it came out that they released Tiny Tina during the pandemic intentionally making it a smaller game due to the situation and uncertainty of working from the office and were surprised it sold so well and was so loved. They didn't intend for it to be one of their flagship games. I still enjoyed it except for the end game content.
 
Damn Gameplay reveal is in 7 hours yet well I can stay up since it's day off wonder if that is Pacific time or Central
