Borderlands 3

There are some gold items that can carry you for 10-15 levels, so I wouldn't totally discount it. There's not much motivation to buy everything you see, but there are some definite good buys even at the lowest possible level. I can assure you that if you ever see a "Ghost Call" grenade in a machine (I haven't yet) - BUY IT.

I just finished Angels and Speed Demons the legendaries are level 30 for me upgraded my current gear anyway got a Moxxi Bouncing pair and some other sub par legendaries got a good class mod though and a good shield. Yeah i can't just plow though this game like some of you out there I gotta digest this game in chunks otherwise it just melds together.

I finished up the Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC. It's better, overall, than Moxxi's but I'd say it was pretty anticlimactic. I know Borderlands isn't exactly an RPG, but the side plots were far more entertaining than the main one. In particular, the detective's quest was well done.
The plot-driven gear isn't as strong. Considering they nerfed a lot of the Moxxi's plot gear, I guess that's not surprising. I did get 2-3 weapons that I'm sticking with along the way, though. Pretty sure they were all random drops (or bought in the vending machines last week), but one of 'em might have been a plot reward.

Right now the slot machines are giving up gold gear left and right. That's the current weekly event type of thing. The VIP tower is as easy as it's ever been if you're looking to stock up on $. I can blow through the whole thing in about 4 minutes.
Not sure if I just got lucky, but I set mine to Mayhem 4 and got 7 gold drops in the first part of the Tazendeer Ruins, too. I started using some of my keys and after 15 of them I only got 3 gold items and 0 keepers. It keeps giving me pistols, shields, and SMG's.

Disappointed that Moxxi's DLC from four months ago isn't included in the Epic Games Spring Sale. I could see the newest one not being discounted, but thought for sure they would drop the price of Moxxi's. Oh well, I've got plenty of time to wait it out!

They might not be marking the individual items down. You might have better luck looking for a discount on the season pass, which includes 'em both and whatever else is incoming,

until they announce a second season pass. fool me once, shame on you...

Finished up the Hammerlock/Wainright DLC. Was a good time. Got tons of loot. Left with a few guns that will likely stick in my loadout for a while as well. Shotguns and Snipers were plentiful for me.

Well of course that's eventually coming, but that doesn't change that the current one guarantees you 4 DLC packs during 2019/2020. Not all "Year 2" season passes include prior content, but many do. If you're absolutely hanging on for the best deal possible, you might as well wait for a GOTY edition that includes all of the DLC down the line.

I waited until this hit Steam before I purchased, so I'm getting a late start. Completed the main story at rank 45 and started the first DLC. The game play is as good as ever, the Story was meh and the guns & builds are wonderfully crazy. The over-all experience coming from Destiny & The Division, has been refreshing. Those games need to balance for PvP and center everything around their "we need to stretch this out as long as possible" business model. This game can just be fun. I like it.

I finally got trough the casino, got some many legendaries there I could not carry them all anymore, they drop so much it is ridiculous.

The casino itself was pretty cool, but some fights seem to be impossible without dying due to the sheer amount of badasses and the last fight dragged on so long it was ,ot funny anymore.

Are you playing on normal, VHM or with a Mayhem setting? I'm playing normal at Mayhem 1 and doing fairly well, but do go down a lot. I have a corrosive Sickle that has saved my butt many a time though.

I think I am on Mayhem 1 but not sure how I got that turned on if it is, think I'm at lvl 49 atm and have found 100+ legendaries so far wish I found exotics in division 2 at that rate ;)

Now that the casino is done I'm going to check all my loot out to see if anything is actually worth keeping b4 moving on to the latest DLC

You can re-run the final part of the casino repeatedly. Once you get used to it, they VIP room is a 10-minute run and that includes all of the bosses and the final loot room.

I think when you finish the Campaign it automatically sets it to Mayhem 1. You can check on Sanctuary where Maurice is, next to Hammerlock's room. There is a podium that lets you increase / decrease it, but it sounds like you are on Mayhem 3 or 4 with how many Legendaires you are getting. I was only seeing about 20 or so in a 2 hour play session of the Casino.

Mayhem 4 is legitimately difficult now. At least in some areas. I'm pretty spec'd out and fighting Jack's Robot in Mayhem 4 takes like 30 minutes to kill. That's assuming he or those little minions don't 1-shot you along the way. The area in front of him (where Freddie is), can be rough, too. The final portions of Nekrotefeyo's Tanzeer Ruins with the armored badass robo-dogs are quite the fight, too.

If you're just shooting for Mayhem 4 drops, play the first 1/2 of the Tanzeer Ruins. When you see those dogs, head back to your ship and repeat. They're just not worth it.

Need some help here, and hope I am just doing something stupid that will be easily fixed.

Have finished main campaign and both DLCs. Said I have like 9 side missions open. How the hell do I find these? In galaxy map view I see the exclamation point, go to that planet, see the exclamation on the specific world, go to the world map and I have no clue where the mission actually is. Is there a way to find out exactly where I need to go to start the mission without re-exploring every inch of the world?

Go to the missions tab (tab key) and select a mission manually, it will then put a marker where you have to go

Those missions are not shown in the mission menu since those have not been discovered/accepted yet.

Have you done the shooting gallery levels like the Cistern of Slaughter or the Trials (Instinct, Survival, etc.) missions? You have to find those to activate them. Even if you complete them once, they re-activate if you accept them again. There's also the Maliwan Takedown mission.

FWIW, every time I open the map I see a ton of marks implying I have new missions available, but it's just those timed achievement-style things where you have to kill x number of enemies via sliding and such. In reality, I've done everything else there is to do.

Yeah, the only one I have not beat is Maliwan yet...and it is listed. Others are on planets and broken out at the bottom.

Nekrotafeyo is the planet I am on right now, it had an exclamation point before I went there, now it is gone. I did this yesterday on another planet and finally found the mission, but some of these maps are huge...

Also, I happened to see the achievement thing come up and say yesterday, "66 or 75 side missions complete," or something to that effect.

Interesting. I have the same exclamation points you have on this screen, but mine says that I've completed 101% of the Galaxy. Whatever that means. Some missions might be time related or something. I dunno. I have to admit that I hate having Heck on this screen. You can't access it since there are no travel points there.

Finished the first DLC, hit level 57 about 60% the way through it. Starting to weed through my Legendaries now and pick out "the good stuff".

I have The Lob, a Cutsman, a Hyperfocus and a sniper that I cannot remember the name of, but was recommended in several vids I watched (incendiary only). Kind of hate the Lob, thing is slow and inconsistent as all get out, but it sure makes a pinata out of whatever it touches. Cutsman is a bit annoying too (as are most Hyperian weapons), but it wrecks nearly as well. Love some of the Jacob's AR"s for their precision and crit, but my Amara likes the Elemental weapons for that juicy health back. Not sure why I bother since I use a Stop Gap most the time, but I may respec now that I'm 57. May do some research tonight while at work.

You can re-spec almost at will, so there's no harm in playing around with it. I keep one of every gold drop I get these days. Whatever appears to be the best version. You never know when they'll buff or nerf your gear, so I just stockpile it now. I think I have 200'ish items in my vault.

In terms of gear, here's what I carry around all the time:
Main: Cost-Effective Optimized Q-System (1650x2, 30 rounds, and provides a 25% damage boost when leaving Fade)
RL: Guttiwuts ION CANNON (Nerfed into the ground, but really good in FFYL since it's so powerful)
Pistol: Dastardly Seventh Sense (Not sure why I'm using it other than just because it looks cool)
Sniper: Adundant Stark Krakatoa (BIG damage and keeps doing more after you get a kill)

I also keep a Diciplined Star Helix around at all times, too. It's pretty similar to my main rifle, but it first 3 rounds at once (900'ish x3) and lacks range. It absolutely mauls things that are fairly close in Fade, though. I don't think I've seen anything do damage like that gun since they nerfed the Guttiwuts.

I was playing on an alt today and noticed a lot of loot tinker mobs who drop a ton of loot if you kill them and even more if you use their backpack and some chubby beasts that also drop a lot of loot, got me enough lowbie legendaries to last me a while :p

I started Guns, Love & Tentacles today... first Outhouse I interacted with had a tentacle pop out of it like it was the creature from the trash compactor in Star Wars. I literally blurted out "That's not right!"

Oh, and I got my first Anarchy.

I might have to try that Loot Tink trick. Granted, at this point I actually want a better purple Atlas rifle more than any legendary. I wish there was some trick to getting those to drop :p

Anyone else play that "game" that they put in Sanctuarry? Suposed to be like folding@home.

Finally been playing this with a friend and my wife, we've co-op played all the other borderlands games.

Just got passed the first vault, been having a lot of fun with it. Sanctuary ship is a pain to navigate and legendary weapons seem way too common and undervalued, but other than that it's just more borderlands goodness

I do wish they had Warframe style fast travel around the ship. But all in all it's still just a great game.

Did my first "Farming" run tonight. Wanted a Hyperfocus with a couple specific Anoints, so I bumped it to Mayhem 4, bought a loot quality boost from the new mini-game and headed to Atlas HQ to hunt Power Troopers. Farmed for a little over an hour, got a ton of stuff, but only 4 Hyperfocus'. One had 'Consecutive Hits' and another bonus damage after Skill used, but I'd really like the bonus Elemental damage on next 2 mags Anoint. May farm some more tomorrow, but suppose I should be happy with these two. Also picked up several nades with bonus elemental damage after tossed; not a bad run tbh.

So opened up to find the latest patches & Maurice shenanigans. Listen for a call back to Rocky Horror. New drops, new mayhem modes with new-ish drops, and more pdu's to buy....... I had $99,999,999 from farming the casino, spent all of that getting upgrades, damnit, now to grind again.

Edit: and new mini-bosses, one was something-something-Fishman-something.

Only had a few minutes to play this morning, but the new level they added reminds me of Heck, which is really cool.
I'll have to play around with the new content. I managed to buy an annointed Atlas rifle with 1800x2 damage from the vending machine, so that made my morning.

I just input the code for it and the one it gave me was better than my previous one.
I still prefer the Lob, though. While slow as molasses, it hits like a truck and piles on the status effect damage. Even on Mayhem 4 (prior to the patch - I haven't tried the new types), it would put the hurt on enemies that other guns would barely scratch.
